I stayed in a VOG HM checkpoint at 2am (as long as you are logged in before 2am all your checkpoints are from last week) and a friend closed the game, restarted it, and joined my fireteam. he verified he was "clear" by seeing that his nightfall icon at the start screen was clear after he reset his game. Once he was inside my VOG hm save, i shut my game down, restarted it, and joined him.

Doing it solo isn't enough, another person on reddit tried being inside his own during the 2am reset and then restarting the game, but with 2 (or more) people you can roll checkpoints over week to week. after that we just juggled our alts inside that HM checkpoint until we had 3 chars each with the save.

if anyone needs the save i'm up now but out to walk my dog for a bit, no patch yet

re: crucible loot is completely independent of performance. a win nets you 25 rep and 3 marks, and a loss nets you 10 rep and 2 marks. so the difference is trivial, doesn't really matter win or lose. there is one bounty that asks you to win 3 crucibles so thats the only time it sorta matters. also iron banner gives you 25 rep for a win and 0 rep for a loss so you see people quitting the second they think their team is gonna lose, but IB isn't active right now and is pretty worthless anyways.

I got stuck at work, was about 5 minutes from leaving and got something I have to support. If it's not fixed by 5ish EST and you are still on it would be great to get it in.

I have a feeling this week's nightfall is going to be painful. I'll be trying to bang out the level 28 weekly and the nightfall this evening, so if anyone wants to team up feel free to send me an invite or join my game in progress.

Bandwagon: I should be on in 90 minutes or so. If you're still on I can hold the checkpoint on my alt for LostVirtue +others and then switch to my main to help you down him.

I had my controller shit out and send me running across the battlefield and into a wall for about three minutes while I unplugged and replugged and unplugged and replugged and smashed keys. Nobody ever shot me and we still won. That should have been the game that gave me double exotics IMO.

Related question, is there a long micro USB cable that doesn't constantly fall out of the fucking controller? I'm pretty sure that is what keeps happening with my XIM.

You can hit 30 with an exotic helm if you have the other 3 raid pieces.

I hear you there I need raid robe to hit 30 (or Xur to sell one, got all 4 hunter/titan BPs from engrams already).

I was planning on knocking that out today after getting a HM kill, if you are still on later I'll jump in. Really the only difficult part will is the wave thing, but with enough patience it should be fine. Can always retreat back and nothing will follow you but the Wizards, they follow to just outside the door and will shoot up the stairs. Phogoth is a joke if you stand in the right place, nothing will spawn past the first dropship

Looking for an Atheon save, would prefer Normal, but either or both would rock. Xbox 1 though....

this weeks nightfall is a pain in the ass to solo, the little hive shits are one shot melee kills and they stand over your body so lock rez doesn't even help
