Mass Effect: Andromeda - Autism reaches outer space

That whole sentence looks like it was composited out of a bunch of voice lines chosen out of branched dialog tree results. The whole "whom not who" and "my face is tired" lines seem like the sort of filler default dialog based on some decisions the player made. Just hilariously bad.

    Cities: Skylines

Missed this trailer for the new Mass Transit expansion pack. I suspect another few hundred hours spent with this game when this comes out:

Don't worry Vaclav, I got you bro. I'll be seeding every major scene release for this game as soon as a good crack comes out.

Mass Effect: Andromeda - Autism reaches outer space

I think that purple-haired chick is actually modelled on Patricia Hernandez.

    Not just Kotaku, Patricia Hernandez.

LOL wtf. It's like they went half photoreal and half KOTORish cartoon style.

Must be counting all those NASA/NOAA programs. Any NOAA program that had to fly pretty much went under NASA.

Mass Effect: Andromeda - Autism reaches outer space

Jesus fuck that just HAS to be a deliberate design decision to "de-sexualize" the females in the game. That's got Anita Sarkeesian's fingerprints all over it. I was thinking maybe those GG haters were just exaggerating things but then I looked at videos of the actual actress the female lead is...

Mass Effect: Andromeda - Autism reaches outer space

Skyrim did the same thing calling the player Dovahkiin. Even if text-to-voice synthesis ever gets good enough to deliver good in-game voice dialog, I don't think they'd ever let the player run around being called "Captain Smegbiscuit" by NPC's.

Mass Effect: Andromeda - Autism reaches outer space

LMAO so I haven't been paying any attention to this game, I just knew about Bioware's hardcore SJW designers and leadership and assumed that's what was happening... ...turns out yep, people have known that this has been a deliberate decision to "ugly up" the female characters to make the...

WTF is this their Austin crew? Did they fire their whole ME team or something?

Mass Effect: Andromeda - Autism reaches outer space

Yep and they must've handed out keys to the most ME-friendly ones. I suppose some of them would have to find a way to polish this turd.

    The Circle (2017)

Yeah the book got into some surprising implications of augmented reality and crowdsourced surveillance. I didn't mind the writing, all these new NYT reviewer-friendly contemporary fiction fags sound like that now. I read this on a flight from Hong Kong and kept thinking the Chinese "Social...

And you could choke off the maginot line from supply and invade through Alsace and have France capitulate by mid-1937! It's gotten a little trickier (mainly by making some paratrooper techs a little more expensive) but I was able to do it last time I played TfV. I actually think the problem is...

    The Circle (2017)

Just read Dave Eggers' book and didn't learn about the movie till recently. Hope it lives up to the Brave New World meets Person of Interest angle.

    The Sci-Fi Book Thread

Finished everything by Greg Egan and a few others but the best thing I've read in a while is The Circle by Dave Eggers. It's a near-future dystopia IMO, but it's presented like a silicon-valley googlecult story. It's basically about how a Panopticon Singularity could come from the social media...

    Baby Driver (2017)

He looks like he's 12 for sure. I haven't seen him in anything but small parts before so they must've cast specifically for his look. His waitress girlfriend looks way older than him.

Mass Effect: Andromeda - Autism reaches outer space

WTF... they must've iterated through that design and their art direction overrode every red flag that came up to stick with that "real proportions" philosophy. Is there some in-game reason for it maybe?

Mass Effect: Andromeda - Autism reaches outer space

Bioware's gone full-blown SJW since gamergate. Maybe they just embraced the whole body-positivity thing and made "Manlet" a playable race.
