I'd recommend against trying this game out unless you have loads of self control. Otherwise you will spend $700 trying to roll enhanced pets that loot mobs for you at a decent enough rate, then moving on to a different game a week or two later.

Robinson Crusoe : Adventures on the Cursed Island is a highly recommended co-op game. Mage Knight is great but is classic fantasy so might not be what your wife will enjoy. Bonus that both of these games are also great solo play.

I always played a few months a year but I haven't touched it since they nerfed head shot, SK damage shields/mass pulling etc. How long has it been since then ? The devs just never understood what players liked about the game and kept trying to push people into the latest content.

Pretty sure I saw a vid with the lead dev saying that there are a lot of differences in the techs different races will see. Some rares ones are unique to some races, some are weighted etc
