I also like how they show Tony slow his descent with the repulsor in his gauntlet, turn it off, then light it back up weaponized as he moves forward using the one in his off hand to gain speed. That's great attention to detail in the CGI work.

This isn't a Dash Rendar movie because Lawrence Kasdan didn't want to write a Dash Rendar screenplay. That's the only reason this got made. He always wanted to do a Solo movie.

That was one of the rumors that got floated out there after L&M were fired. Based on what we've seen of him in the trailer it's entirely believable. It also makes what the Hyper RPG guy said about hearing he's the weak part of the movie on point as well.

I did like the part with DG sharing the Lando salute with the droid copilot.

They did the same thing for a Rogue One trailer (not during the Super Bowl obviously) and it did have a small amount of footage in it, both stuff from the trailer and stuff that wasn't.

I don't know who was hating on DG as Lando other than maybe the fans who have this notion of always getting completely unknown actors to play major roles because they apparently have some disorder that causes their immersion to fall off of a cliff whenever they see a readily recognizable face...
