    The King (2019)

Give it a try, I say! I liked it a lot, and while I like Shakespeare, I have always wished they could pull off the battles on stage. This does that.

    Warcraft III: Reforged

Retcons are fucking dumb. Just let the game stand as it does. You don't need uniformity of story. Seeing the progression of intricacy is more interesting than the effects of the dragons being the same color. New models look sweet, though.

    The King (2019)

Part of me suspects that Pattinson was over the top on purpose. It pays off when it turns out he's a total fucking putz. It's all an act in front of Henry in order to intimidate him.

    The King (2019)

I feel like this movie was made for the history buff side of my personality. It focused on a couple of tent pole events, with a side of character-arc.

I teach E.S.L. (English as a Second Language). I actually moved by search away from 'real' jobs to look for ESL stuff, and there's a surprising number of things around the coast. Guess it's cause of immigrants.

Thinking about moving back to America. Looking at jobs. Holy shit this looks bleak. Everything requires a specific degree, multiple years of experience, and I have to sign up for their bullshit website to even apply.

    Warcraft III: Reforged

WC3 in my opinion hit an excellent middle ground. It was detailed enough to give you an idea of what was going on, but also let you fill in the gaps, and create your own image in the game.

    The Joe Abercrombie Thread

I'm not sure Logan is going to be showing up. At the end of Red Country he is wicked old, and this takes place quite a few years after that novel. Honestly, I'm okay with him introducing new characters, and killing off the old ones. If we just stick with the same characters it will get stale...

    What did you just read?

Little Big Man by Thomas Burger - (6/10) This fictional tale follows a young, white boy who is adopted by a tribe of Cheyenne Indians. As he gets older, he returns to civilization, becomes a gun-fighter, plays poker, and hunts buffalo. He returns to the Cheyenne just in time for a very famous...

So, the newest addition to the First Law universe has been published. It is, as you can see above, titled A Little Hatred. According to publisher details, this is the first of a new trilogy that will focus on the territories that we all know and love - Midderland, Angland, and the North. The...

    What did you just read?

Easily one of the greatest books I have ever read. Not only was it well-written, but it was absolutely haunting. So many different scenes and characters stick out in my mind - mainly for their grotesque qualities. I would highly recommend anything by Cormac McCarthy.

    What did you just read?

Catcher in the Rye J.D. Salinger Never read it in school, but I bought it yesterday, and finished it this morning. Holy shit, I loved this book. It was as if someone wrote a book about me when I was a teenager. Would recommend to anyone who was a very angry/confused teenager.

Wake in Fright (1971) – Despite the disgusting scene in which they actually recording the hunting of kangaroos, this was a pretty good movie. It gave me an oily skin feel, like I wanted to run away from the situation as badly as the protagonist did. For that, it was a powerful movie. Picnic...

I would say The Heroes is the best of all his work, but to clarify there is a "loose" order to the books. Let me explain. He started with a trilogy The Blade Itself, Before they Are Hanged and Last Argument of Kings. Then he wrote some stand-alone novels (set in the same world) that explore...

Once Upon a Time in Hollywood (2019)

So I went and saw this again last night. This time in English. Man, the house was packed. But it was an even better experience than the first time. I have to say that, even in German, the film was good. But in English, it was amazing. Understanding the tiny little quirks about the way the...

Once Upon a Time in Hollywood (2019)

Saw this on friday, after work, but the theater down the street from me was only showing it in German. Said whatever, and saw it anyway. Understood probably 80% of it, but I really liked it, anyway. Watching the actress who played Sharon Tate watch her own film, and enjoy people's reaction to...
