Yeah the volume now is crazy compared to how it was. I remember hearing Nash talking about in retrospect he should have probably taken a lot more 3s back with the Suns. Back then you'd have dudes shooting 40 percent, but only taking like 4 shots a game.
the early portion of Vampire Lestat was definitely a bit of a slog. I'm not as big on that series in general as most, but the first 3 books were pretty good. Body Thief and Memnoch were a bit too much.
Kunark is bad, but everyone knows it's bad. There are a lot of people that are all about PoP until they actually play it though. GoD is way, way better than PoP on TLP.
PoP is maybe the most overrated early expansion in EQ. it's not the actual worst, but people have wild nostalgia boners for it and it's a pretty average expansion.
This is true, but if you're picking and choosing because you don't do literally everything, it's probably not great that the choice that nets the most top end gear is to do lower end content. Having it set in a way that doing lower stuff nets you a chance at the good gear is different than...
Grim aura click will give you an AA. The click buffs with damage shields do not give AAs although the permant buff will last until you get dispelled, die, or click it off.
None of the main characters go to Tar Valon in the first book. Some of the main character stuff that happens in Tar Valon in the show happens in Caemlyn in the book.
Klay is a big part of this too. They took what the Nash Suns and some of the Spurs were doing and dialed it to 11. Also, people getting buttmad because people compare some player in some aspects to Jordan is pretty dumb.
some people definitely being petty. also, could be kind of interesting to see how some stuff ends up working with certain things not being flagged as quest items
I mean including running stats to rate QBs is probably a good idea, but they weigh it heavily. kind of interesting that murray gets less juice from running than herbert though. that's not something you'd suspect under normal circumstances
You'll continue getting mana regen, attack, and all that kind of shit with heroics after the percentage soft caps so it's not totally worthless to keep piling them up. but yes most heroics have soft caps of 35 or 38 in terms of the mod2s.
It's unreal how it's just been shitty for decades. It's not one particular coaching staff and it isn't a lack of drafting linemen. It's just been bad for so long for no apparent reason and it sucks.
Yeah there just wasn't a lot of good fantasy back then. The Black Company books were a pretty significant outlier in that regard. It also heavily influenced WoT and many other series that came after.
The books certainly have some issues, but that's mostly later on and not really within the first book aside from some of the female character stuff starting up. The many problems with this show are largely specific to the show.
Yeah. He got drafted by a team in position to win immediately. If Jones had gotten drafted by the Jets or Jags he wouldn't be having very much success.
