Convoluted is a positive attribute IMO. But warframe doesn't need to be complex, you can ignore 95% of the games mechanics and just pewpew your way through the star chart without any issue. And I disagree about taking 6 years. Warframe was good at launch and has only gotten better since.

Dunno about writers but most of the MCU directors had done very little before being given an MCU movie. Russos had done heaps of TV comedy, but only one or two movies of note. James Gunn similar, bit of TV, one movie, then MCU... etc.. They've done a good job of picking winners fairly early.
