I have my issues with Zero Hedge, but he posted this a couple hours ago and it's probably the most cogent explanation I've seen regarding the differences between ETH and BTC, and why ETH is a better investment: "Own The Internet" - A Bull Case For Ethereum | ZeroHedge

I'll second this. Any info you (@Sanrith Descartes) can give on when you think we have hit the bottom for ETH would be really, really appreciated.

Doesn't feel that strange to me tbh. A huge correction needed to happen. ETH is still up 900+% in the last 12 months (BTC is up 200+%). Crypto fundamentals are stronger than they have ever been and acceptance is higher than ever. Dozens of big name investors and financial institutions, many...

Looks like consolidation after the big dip to me, but I'm not a great chart reader. Prior to the "crash," ETH was following a pattern of jumping a couple hundred dollars before consolidating for a bit. Then when it hit about $2400, it made a HUGE jump to $4300 in a very short period. Where...

Interesting crypto news: Carl Icahn says he "May get into crypto in a big way." Says it is here to stay and he prefers ETH. This of course means that he has already bought a fuck ton of ETH. Rumor has it that Apple is about to break into the crypto space. Going to be super interesting to see...

Thanks dude. Guess waiting a bit before buying might be wise here. Edit: I'm assuming that if it breaks 2,815 and stays above it's a very bullish sign and I should go ahead and jump in?

Honestly don't think Cuban is going to hurt Polygon. I get what you guys are saying about the issue of celebrity endorsements, but the issues with celeb endorsements are more about when they shill bullshit coins than anything else. A quality product like polygon is going to keep trucking with...

This is definitely just the beginning. Expect a lot more of this stuff- most of it built on ETH. Like I said in April, however much ETH you have now, you'll wish you had more very soon.

If you believe the conspiracy theories, this kind of chatter would indicate that the whales are in an accumulation phase and want to keep prices down as they accumulate. If that's the case, the next big move will be a parabolic move upwards. That's if you believe the conspiracy theories...

If anything those announcements should be lending more legitimacy to crypto and thus be bullish for the long run. Edit: key words "long run"- will probably cause a panic in the short term

There's always either one person or a very small cadre of people in control. You're fooling yourself if you think that isn't the case with BTC. With Vitalik at least we have a face to put to a name, rather than some mysterious pseudo-Japanese guy that may or may not still be alive

Was curious if we would get a dead cat bounce myself. Guess we'll see. I already have my crypto positions locked in for the foreseeable future and I have zero dry powder left if there is another crash/dip, so it's kind of irrelevant to me.

Unfortunately it's just making up a lot of lost ground. It's good that it's making it up, but it still has to double to get back to the ATH. Super happy to see fields of green this morning though.

Super interesting and entirely plausible prediction of what's about to happen:

    Bitcoins/Litecoins/Virtual Currencies

Yeah I mean that's part of what's going to make ETH so valuable. Between the ETH locked up in DeFi apps, smart contracts, and big staking rewards, then add on top of that the ETH burn, it's very possible it will be a true deflationary coin. Either way, there won't be much incentive to sell it...

    Bitcoins/Litecoins/Virtual Currencies

I'm confident yes. But it's definitely no assured thing. If there's a fuckup ETH could crash and burn and never truly recover. As far as I know, the only negative consequences of PoS is that ETH miners are out of a job. Others here might have something more to say about it though. But it...

I honestly cannot conceive why you would buy VTHOR instead of just buying VET and then getting the VTHOR for free. Why buy the milk if you can buy the cow and get the milk for free and end up with both?

VET has a great use case and several promising "partnerships" with big corps. They are also yet to be listed on several big exchanges and there is a reasonable expectation that when they are VET will get a nice bump. These are the positives. The negatives are that it's unclear how much...

I know- kind of crazy to be retesting lows with so many big, positive catalysts on the near horizon for ETH. I think you were on to something when you mentioned recent volatility being related to a true "decoupling" between ETH and BTC. If you look at the charts, with a few exceptions most...

Speaking of which... someone just xferred 1.7 BILLION in ETH from Binance to an unknown wallet... Edit: And just now another 68 million. That's 2.4 billion moved in the last hour. Wonder what to make of this? Binance just shifting around their own holdings or something more serious?
