    After Life

No! He's Abraham Setrakian. I enjoyed the first season and have watched the first couple of episodes of the new one. But, I dunno, is this going to be another season of Ricky Gervais being ultra depressed? Will get old fast.

    The Elder Scrolls Online

I think I've done all the veteran-mode non DLC dungeons at this point. Honestly, it's the only thing I "enjoy" about the game. I play a Templar healer which is simply keeping HoTs going and mashing the big heal when things get hairy. It's just not very satisfying. I've played a priest, druid...

    The Elder Scrolls Online

I so I hit CP200, primarily from just queuing for dungeons. I don't understand what people see in this game. Clearly there are a shit ton of people playing it (at least that's the feeling since you can be in middle of bumfuck nowhere and see some jack ass running around). My friend is...

Speaking of editors, what is everyone's favorite coding font? For me, I have yet to find anything I like better than Envy Code R.

I feel like "why does this exist?". Stop wasting your time and put your full effort into R&M instead.

What We Do in the Shadows

Watched the movie last night. Pretty funny, but is a different set of characters. Although they are very similar in a lot of ways. I kinda wish they had a version of "Petyr", though.

/shrug. I do plenty of interviews and I know that if someone applies for one of our positions and marks down they know Java, I automatically know they'll have no problem with C#. Vice versa is true of course. It's not aids at all. Right tool for the job and all that, but Angular is nice in...

I get that, but for learning I would go with C# since those skills are easily transferable to Java. C# is a far more pleasurable language and platform to work with.

Our company made the huge mistake of going with Silverlight back in 2008. Around 2016 we started a re-write using .NET Core and Angular. Here it is 2020 and we still haven't finished, although most of the major functionality is complete. However, I think most of our customers are still using...

Yeah, not sure why people are talking about Java here. If I wanted to learn a strongly typed language that has C-style syntax, I'd choose C# over Java any day of the week.

It might? It's not something I've used. JetBrains offers free trials of their products so give it a whirl. I'm become pretty adept at Angular 2+, I assume you're speaking of this and not the old Angular.js Anyway, I'm not sure routing is necessarily how you would accomplish this? Not quite...

Yeah, I keep hearing Rick, Morty, and Summer. Plus it has the same art style.

    Stargirl

Yeah, I just don't understand why writing a good story arc is so difficult. They literally have decades of Flash comic material to draw from. Hell, why not bring onboard some of the DC comic writers of yore for inspiration? It can't be that hard.

I stopped watching The Flash during the Cicada story line. Is it still shit?

I mean, the DC Steaming stuff have been decent enough. I quite liked DOOM Patrol. And Swamp Thing definitely didn't deserve to be cancelled. Titans was probably the weakest despite having the potential to be their best offering.

    The Last of Us

I enjoyed the original like I enjoyed Witcher 3 -- as a good story-driven game. Gameplay was merely passable.

    Desktop Computers

Any recommendations on a budget processor? I'm rebuilding my Plex media streaming PC which is currently an AMD FX-8350 (which, honestly, has been totally fine). But the motherboard is starting to go, I think. Looks like an i3-9100F is unbeatable at the price point. Don't really care about...

The Paranormal, UFO's, and Mysteries of the Unknown

I'm sure all of us here have watched that Joe Rogan interview. But from what Lazar described the technology is so far advanced it sounded as if we have no fucking clue how to reverse engineer any of it. So I don't think anything productive has come from it. Again, I'm thinking some of these...

If Bob Lazar isn't lying then all these sightings could simply be us experimenting with the technology.

    Future Man

Yeah this was a great series. First season probably contained the most laughs for me, although all were great. Derek Wilson definitely needs his own show. Funny dude.

    Westworld

What I find particularly hilarious is the constant droning of dramatic music during boring scenes.

    Investing General Discussion

Serious question: doesn't one think that the nations that depend on oil revenue will, at some point in the not-so-distant-future, do something to drive the price up?

    Pets

I'm actually having a similar experience. I've had a rather large female cat come around the house. Previously, when it saw me, it would run off. But one day I knelt down and it came right up to me. Now, if I open the deck door, it'll stroll right into the house. It appears well fed and it...

    Guild Wars 2

Same here. I played a Guardian at release and stopped about a month in. I decided to try it again and switched to a thief. Having way, WAY more fun. Combat is entirely enjoyable. Absolutely love the pew-pew Deadeye thief.

    Star Trek: Picard

I stopped watching about 5 episodes in. Did the Borg cube storyline have any significance?
