On the point of loot, if PC collision was taken out, melee wouldn't have that advantage anymore. Really the collision is only truly necessary for pvp anyway, or for trolling in pve. You could make the point that it makes things more dangerous, thus kind of playing in to the point of the game...

Maps are really easy to sustain once you start doing them. I've only ever had to farm <5x to sustain map farming. Helps if you can team up with 1 or 2 other people and pool, but yeah, it's not hard to sustain.

It used to go on sale for 9.99 every other week, so just keep an eye out and it'll be cheap.

I agree 100%. There was a mod out there before that scaled magic based on the skill in it; I have no clue what it was called, but there are some mods like that. Most of the major mods don't really do much to help magic be viable which is disappointing.

Not on hardcore. You'll run into a wall on default eventually -- there's a lot of variables involved in what works / doesn't.

I wouldn't worry about it, you can always get more damage later. Those evasion nodes aren't bad buys either. It's super easy to go glass cannon if you decide how you're going to do dmg and just stack it. Later though, you'll be really sad if you min-max too much. Hp/armor/resists are...

If you play on softcore, dmg > survivability. On hardcore, always get defenses. For that build, get the evasion nodes and make a bee-line for Iron-Reflexes (should have it at 15). That makes you super tough early and you shouldn't have issues for dying.

Templar is dope for elemental based casters. You get spark pretty early which is decent enough still, especially so if you have a friend leveling a dex character that will get fork early (ranger, shadow, duelist). Shadow is just as good too, gets frost wave early that works well with LMP...

Item level is based on what lvl area you got it from. Hold the item on your cursor and /itemlevel to know exactly. Item level determines item stat caps, etc.
