    Rise of the Triad remake

Apparently there's a Rise of the Triad remake in the works. Here's hoping it's still as comical and over-the-top as it's predecessor; although, I'm not holding my breath. The graphics are leaving me soft. Rise of the Triad

Does the campaign ever end? It's gotten beyond monotonous with sporadically playing it. I suppose with the Russia audience I should not be surprised.

    Guild Wars 2

If Mesmer is the same as it was months ago, depending on the build, you only really die due to lack of planning. Portals, teleports, clones, and condition removal/transfer. You don't kill anything on equal footing quickly, but you have amazing survivability.

That does seem like a valid point. Why are we bothering with a Foreman's grill when actual grilling, roasting, or sauteing are options? Modicum of oil + salt + pepper + adequate heat element = profit. If the technique and/or tools are sufficient, it should result in something palatable. I...

Has The Man Who Sold The World been shared? Lewl at young Dave Grohl. As a history lesson, I believe that Bowie did the original and, although I like Bowie (<3Space Oddity), the Nirvana version seems more timeless.

    Da Vinci's Demons [Starz]

This show is really all over the place. The suspension of disbelief is becoming far too troublesome. It's reaching anime levels of odd. Inexplicit vampires. LSD mysticism. Naked old man fighting. Da Vinci learning mastery of space and time. This series seems to be the pioneer of...

    What did you just read?

American Psycho. I loved the movie back in the day and thought I'd read the book. I'm not quite sure which I liked more. The movie is a dark comedy with horror elements. The violence, although horrific, is welcome in it's moderation and execution. The movie has a few scenes not in the book...

    Da Vinci's Demons [Starz]

Apparently they're making Da Vinci, at least for this last episode, bi-curious. The 11th hour saves, implausible strategies and inventions, and odd mysticism/supernatural stuff are getting a bit boring.

    The Newsroom

I want to like it, but it comes off too much as hindsight Nostradamus-douching about events than an interesting critique on the current state of news. The dialogue is okay, but speech sounds more intelligent given the alacrity of their cadence. The interoffice romances are just terrible and...

    American Dad!

I'm really not sure what I watched. I appreciate them doing something different with the series, but none of that was particularly funny or memorable. It was the background music on an elevator type of episode.

Is Christopher Nolan the most overrated director of all time?

Most overrated, of course not. He at least has had a few decent movies on his resume. I still enjoy Memento and The Prestige. The Dark Knight needed more editing and it appeared to run on forever, despite the capable acting, and it wasn't an entire bore/flop. As long as Uwe Boll keeps...

Eador-Genesis and upcoming Eador-Masters of the Broken World TBS Old school GOOD

Eardor is okay, but short of being great. It comes off as a poorly fleshed out HOMM / Disciples hybrid. Combat starts out boring and repetitive and only gets modestly better after acquiring additional spells and structures. It seems to focus on the minutia of managing each province without...

Food poisoning has taught me that I can vomit and shit at the same time, without getting anything on me. The process was rather trial and error. The first was sushi in Iowa. I knew better, but my rational was, "it wouldn't be on the menu if it poisoned people, right?" The second was Chinese...

It's from a government institution, so the ranges are likely rather conservative to ensure public safety. Prometheus (Alien 0) - 1 Year Later

    Da Vinci's Demons [Starz]

Really not quite sure of what to make of the third episode. It came off a Stargate-level camp meets clumsy zombie/demon/possession horror. It was a hot mess. I think I watch this show to see recycled GoT actors. So far, just Lommy Greenhands and Half-hand.

I'm not big fan of anime, but I watched the Monster series back when Syfy still ran anime. It was surprisingly good, if not slightly slow and melodramatic. JJ Abrams to direct new Star Wars movie

JJ Abrams to direct new Star Wars movie

I suppose it depends on the definition of "good product." A turd could be a good product if marketed well and, inexplicably, 18-25 year olds buy it. Value is relative and no object possesses intrinsic value. Transformers, Da Vinci Code, Twilight, etc. did not make a lot of money because they...
