Personally I believe the nacho guy at the American Airlines Arena in Miami is the true winner. When else does he sell his nachos in the sheer quantity he is going to have to later today?
I didn't think the officiating overall this game was appalling. James should have gotten a few more fouls but Battier got away with a few things to balance it out. The biggest issue I had all game was the elbow Chalmers threw at Diaw. I thought that was a flagrant when I saw it. It looks worse...
I'm glad to see Manu had another run in him. If the Spurs come up with a solid center/PF to replace Tim Duncan they might be contenders for years to come. Since the Spurs ownership seems to just have a way of finding these guys you never know. lol maybe they give Greg Oden a run and his knees...
After last nights game the question in my head is whether or not Manu can step up for the Spurs the same way Wade did for the Heat. Also can Splitter stop trying to dunk just like Bosh needed to stop shooting 3's?
On top of that its much more likely Mike Miller stops shooting perfectly from the 3 and thats a much worse situation for the Heat than it is if Greene and Neal only shoot 30% for the Spurs.
Spurs are just picking them apart now. See if Lebron takes over in the 4th. If Mike Miller has a bad game the Heat are F'd. That might actually cost the Heat the series at this point.
So Spurs/Miami. If Miami only shows up with Lebron/Haslem they lose. If Wade and Bosh show up too they win. Thats my gut feeling.
Hard to call though after how badly everyone blew calling the Spurs/Grizzlies series. Even Spurs fans on Pounding the Rock blog weren't
saying sweep.
<Tin Foil Hat>
Maybe the NBA is protecting Lebron and Wade because they are renegotiating their TV deals earlier than expected and don't want the awesome ratings that would result from a Pacers/Spurs championship this year. Already talk going around about how the Spurs/Grizzlies final was the...
The fighters are too professional now in a way. You won't see physiques like Tank Abbot or Roy Nelson come out of the new generation of MMA fighters. Ruins some of the underground appeal MMA had.
Well the Grizzlies made it a game. I don't know I think the Warriors series was better. The Grizzlies only seem to be able to get in the game when the Spurs take their foot off the gas.
It looks like the Spurs have been preparing for the onslaught that will be the Miami Heat. They are playing really crisp. The Grizzlies just don't have an answer. Gasol is working hard but I don't its going to be enough.
Without Harden I say OKC wouldn't have beaten the Spurs last year. Harden gave their bench the firepower OKC needed to win. His absence has been very noticeable this year.
The NBA metagame is entertaining me today. I've been reading about the Sacramento Kings sale and potential move to Seattle. The NBA doesn't seem to want the move to happen. As far as I can tell the entire plan by the league seems to be that the league will force the Maloofs to take a lowball...
