Geez, my memory is going shitty. I thought Classic was 1-50, because Cataclysm and Pandaria were "+10" to max level. I don't remember being 85 at all going into Pandaria when it launched. D: I definitely remember the loot lag on day 1 of Classic though. :D

You mortals and your material (gold) concerns. I sold tons of 30-slot bags at expansion start! Seriously, I've made about 60-80k from bags alone. People seriously want Deep Sea Bags for some reason, despite the past 4 years of Hexweave + Imbued Silkweave being accessible.

We would actually use a Doomguard or two in Molten Core for Cripple on Golemagg and a few other bosses, so it did have a little merit, but man it was a pain to deal with the Enslave maintenance. Classic Enslave/Mind Control was 100% EQ Enchanter mes/charm maintenance.

Don't forget you have to farm for the book for it from the mega-elite demons in the Blasted Lands! And Book of Inferno from the (Lower?) Blackrock Spire warlocks! And the wonky behavior of Enslave Demon, even without factoring in Curse of Shadows.
