I don't see any way they could do the actual books (which would be amazing) without recasting Luke, Leia and Han. So my guess is unless they're going to embrace the uncanny valley CGI shit they did with Luke in Mandalorian, it's Heir to the Empire in name only.

What's the harm in rest mode? As mentioned, it downloads updates and can charge controllers in rest mode, so I'm not seeing the benefit of turning it off completely. It gets rebooted occasionally due to system file updates anyway, so I think I've turned mine off a grand total of 3-4 times ever...
