im experiencing that quite often as well. Noticed it when the EMP hits, but sometimes it is every 5-6 seconds for a few minutes. crashing a shitload tonight.

I was having about 1/3 games crash before the "fix." After a couple 3hr sessions, it seems only marginally improved. I had a couple times when the sound would freeze for a second, (would crash game pre-patch) and it continued to work post-patch.

You can increase the quality of the item again for a higher chance to get more sockets/links, but each use of fusing/jeweller will eat any quality on item. At least that's how I see it, haven't tried yet.

Having played a Ranger to 71, the rule of thumb I use for specs is: dps comes with level and gear, survivabilty comes from the skill tree.
