Holy shit you weren't kidding. Had to pass via the outskirts to get some shopping done and it has to be the most feral place I have ever seen. Including shit on TV and movies. Time really got away from us to do any of your interesting things. Ended up just doing the tourist crap which were...

That sucks. Luckily we're headed to San Fran next, and then New York. That means things will get cheaper right? right?

Burma Love looks awesome. Sadly my wife can't eat Garlic or Onion ( and whole bunch of other things) due to allergies, so limits food options a lot. She was amazed to discover a place here that made quesadila's without the ingredients that made her sick!

Seems like San Diego will be spent adjusting to jet leg. Really struggling to get used to it. We're staying in the gaslamp area. definitely lots of bars and places but those days are behind me sadly. Are prices here indicative of everywhere? Seems quite pricey, but that could just be the...

cheers! Just the Wife and I, no kids. No car either, so that limits a lot of things. Beaches / Zoo probably skip since we have good ones here. Mostly aiming for the unique things that aren't available or common anywhere. Old Town sounds good, as does Coronado Island, so I'll investigate those...

Call of Duty Modern Warfare II 2022

yeah, Pacific Foothold can suck a dick. took ages to get the gun oil but still have never seen a blow torch. The C4 isn't too bad. you don't actually need to blow up the vehicle. Just throw the C4 so it attached to the vehicle and when it explodes, it kills people. couple of light helicoper...

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania (2023)

I enjoyed it for the most part but had some issue. It suffers from the same things as most of the mcu movies thesendays; it clear that most of it takes place on a set. There's almost no immersion or sense that this is a real place. There's an over use of humour at the wrong times. They used to...

    Lockwood & Co.

same, binged through it as well. good balance in the stories, 2 main ones for the season, so their not too drawn out but not over too quickly either. also, this show isn't really a good comparison either but worth checking out also. Another UK YA Fantasy series. sadly already cancelled but the...

    Poker Face

Not much of a mystery. I picked the killer in the first 10 min! Seriously though, I did like the twist at the end. I also like the Burn Notice and Encyclopedia Brown references, two of my personal favourites

    Battlefield 2042

I wish. They triple charged me when I tried to buy the currency for the gamepass, then refused to refund it, so I did a chargeback. turns out they just flat out ban anyone for doing that.

    Battlefield 2042

EA decided to unban my account so I might give this another spin. TBH though, I'm quite enjoying the DMZ mode in CoD. Was going to try out the bf2042 equivalent but apparently it's completely dead?

Call of Duty Modern Warfare II 2022

I'm stuck on the poppy farmer house since I seemed to have lost or destroyed the key for it you get from an earlier mission before I knew it was important. Now just hopping I randomly get it as a drop but pretty low chance

    Welcome to Chippendales

I thought it was great overall, but the final episode felt a bit off in the pacing. Like a quick rush to the finish line compared to the rest of the series

Roguelike... City Builder (Against the Storm)

What's the end game on this? I reached the end of the tech tree, which I think is where Prestige starts? but couldn't work out what the progress beyond that was beyond grinding the prestige levels. I just put it down at that point and started something else and haven't gone back, even though I...

    Avatar 2 (2020)

It was ok. Visuals were spectacular. Story was a bit more interesting than the first but convulated and trying to cram too much into without giving them a good enough foundation or time to breathe. Generally it was overly long and very indulgent for long stretches I'd give it around 70-80% of...

    Europa Universalis IV

I tend to be very lazy with my army sizes. I've tried looking into the theory of them and implementing them but it never seems to make a huge difference in my games. So I tend to stick to my standing compositions 10/4 (or 2 if money super tight early on)/1 -> 10/4/10 -> 16/4/20

Wow, what an end to the Australianl game. Hate when games are so close they are decided by a moment of brilliance or a critical mistake and this had both. Apart from those 2 I felt we defended well and stopped Argentina from being too dangerous

at this point, I'd recommend the pass too, certainly if you're trying it out for the first time. For most of EU4's life (can't believe it's 9 years old and I still play it!) I've bought whatever the previous dlc is when the new one is released since they always did a 75 or at least 50 % deal on...

The Red Rising Trilogy - Pierce Brown [Sci-Fi]

quite enjoying this series so far, quarter into book 3. I can't pinpoint anything amazing about it, but I find it very easy to read and keep wanting to go back to it. Grabbed the boardgame too, which is fun enough and very cool to see all the different characters on the various cards.
