Lower quality inverters are only +/- 80% efficient. If batteries have a lot of cycles on them they could have lost capacity. The batteries probably don't allow themselves to charge or drain to their full extremes, either, to prevent degradation. Most lithium batteries are designed to be "empty"...

Testosterone is a steroid, and essentially universally used. Anyone taking stronger stuff is also taking it. You can restart your natural production, but the difficulty and restart period is more or less directly proportional to how long you were taking it exogenously. At least in combat sports...

Fair. I'm still reticent to pull the trigger on OLED because 95% of my screen time is on work software with necessary static elements and I'm not going to jump through a bunch of hoops to dodge burn-in.

Shit, that's tempting. I have a mismatched 1440p main monitor and random 1080p as my second. Would be nice to have a matched pair and kick the old one down to the kids. I'm assuming tech has improved enough that this is better than my 2017 XB270HU? You find the contrast good? That was an...

Right, so like I said before you're claiming that the entire investing world is willfully passing up a high-return low-risk strategy, which is a choice that loses money, in order to not lose money.

So are these trivially accessible increased returns low risk or high risk? It sure seems like you're advocating to adopt more risk and only counting the upside. That's the kind of strategy that works great until it doesn't.

You should be fine with your current router if it currently meets your needs for features and reliability. Its rated bandwidths are at least double what your provider delivers.

I've used one. They get a lot of dirt out of fabrics and rugs but don't remove stains as well as you'd want. Might be more effective with hot water and soap in the reservoir, but I've never gone that far. Handheld versions take forever to clean any appreciable area.

That chart is entirely consistent with the standard medical narrative on sun exposure. Skin cancers, like many other types, take multiple decades to manifest. In 2024 the average melanoma patient is 66. Their primary exposures would have come in the 80's and earlier. People who were born post...

Then get vintage tools made with real steel and iron (knowing that they may require some refurbishment and maintenance) or go mid/upmarket new. Budget is probably the biggest factor here. For new, premium gear the influencer space seems to gravitate towards SawStop and Harvey recently, and while I've not seen anyone complain about quality you have to assume that's largely driven by $$. If/when I upgrade I'll still consider SawStop...

No, I'm saying that it's possible to make statements that are true enough to be useful in improving people's lives. It's hard and we've not done a great job of it yet, but that's not a reason to stop trying. Actually understanding how the human body works and giving us the ability to improve...
