Best melee weapon in the game is a Shredding Minigun with Bleeding. You spin it up and just run into people. It does stupidly high amounts of damage. No bullets needed. It does damage with every rotation of the barrel.

Ran into the same issue in Oberland. A Synth had fallen through the world. Even with no-clip on, could not get to him and kill him. So I put everything away, sent all of the settlers elsewhere, then let them destroy it.

Sucks. Was really getting into the game, cleared Level L'upe Mine, Ag Center, and the areas related to it. I was wondering when I would get more followers than the 3 that I have and decided to look it up and the results warned me about the bug, so I decided to shelf the game until they fix it.

Heads up! There is a pretty game crippling bug right now. If you DISMISS an NPC follower, there is a very high chance they just despawn and you can never recruit them again. The inExile is aware of the bug and they are trying to work out a fix for it.
