That's a very dumb way to put it.
Heroes of the Storm is the only upcoming game that is guaranteed to have a competitive scene (at least Blizzcon + small online tourneys). It'll be different enough from LoL/Dota2 to attract both groups of players.

Doom 3, Quake 4, Painkiller (1 & 2) and I'm sure there's a few more. Problem is the incredibly competitive PC FPS gamers perceived those games as inferior (which is true) and they were too fast for console gamers.
Disagree, the thing that really separates WoW from other games is how responsive and fluid the game feels (and obviously runs well due to its age). No other game has even come close to matching WoW in that department.
Brand loyalty is a part of it, but some people valued the kinect being bundled with it (yes there are people who like it) and XBONE had the better exclusives...
Why not just design CC that lasts for a shorter duration? If you can macro it, everyone will do that and it won't mean anything...

I just had an insane winstreak on a newly built shaman deck... will probably signup tomorrow if I can make a decent third deck later tonight. What are you going to do if there's an odd number of signups?
Yeah I'm kinda at a point where I want to experiment with decks but need more caaaards... And the acquisition rate is too slow. The obvious answer is "well just play arena", but arena isn't really fun to me so the only real option is drop $50 - 60 or play another game.
I don't think you understand how experienced and educated utnayan is. He is friends with all mmo developers, and knows the ins and outs of making an mmo and what goes wrong during the process that 100s of actual developers cant figure out. He's a master economist who can accurately predict...
