I didn't mind paying subscriptions sometimes due to the ridiculous amount of time I'd spend in some MMOs. That was a long time ago though, times have changed and so have the quality of the games. However, I don't understand some of the mentality of MMOs these days with an all-or-nothing style...

Somewhat, but mostly they just do their own thing. A lot of their games activate on Steam anyway. I've found a good deal of what I wanted through them for ridiculously cheap.

Secret of Mana I used to love going into the town and getting this theme, it was so whimsical. I love this one especially. And of course, Meridian Dance.

I'd like to see a lot of the old Classic NES/SNES/Genesis/GameBoy/etc of the 8-bit and 16-bit genre updated with a little more polish (high quality SNES level, nothing new gen), and released in $2 form for download to XBLA, PSN, and Steam all with (naturally) controller support.

Part of the problem is like Sean said, the old studio guys left. The other part is the new guys refusing to use anything of the old formula. A lot of people have begged for a FF7 remake and a return to the "old style", but the new crew absolutely refuse and want everyone to recognizetheirstuff...

I still load up an emulator or one of my portables to play the classics. I play Super Mario Bros 3, Legend of Zelda, and Bionic Commando occasionally. Yeah it was awesome, I fucking loved it. Some of the music and graphics were phenomenal.

Ninja Gaiden 1 - Mostly because if you died, it didn't send you back to the checkpoint...it sent you alllllllll the way back to the beginning of the stage. Ornstein/Smough from Dark Souls. I struggle on that fight so much.

I wouldn't be too fearful of enormous changes, because they still have to produce it for the Japanese market. If they do water it down too much, you can bet they'll probably come out with a "Director's Cut" edition or something.
