I'm not sure how a Star Wars fan could dislike the Thrawn trilogy. Even the games provide some of the more interesting Star Wars stories. The EU is a thousand times greater than the movie universe so I don't see how you could hate it all.

I watched A New Hope last night and The Clone Wars are mentioned a handful of times like the audience is supposed to know about those conflicts. None of the movies address the identities of the stormtroopers seen in the original trilogy, but according to the EU, the Empire started conscripting...

The stormtroopers in the original trilogy had different voices and height was mentioned because they had to meet certain enlistment standards. I don't think clone troopers were even conceptualized until 20 years later.

The troopers in the original trilogy weren't clones so I don't know why anyone would expect the troopers in Episode 7 to be clones.

I'm trying to watch Episode I for the first time in 10 years and I can confidently say that the 90-second teaser feels more "Star Warsy" than anything presented in this movie.

Many of the arguments against this new design assume that the guard isn't sheathing parts of the smaller blades. The metal (or whatever material it is) is there to prevent the user from slicing his fingers off during thrusting actions.

I've seen a lot of stupid complaints from millennials but I've also seen dudes in their 40s whine about the soccer ball droid is cutesy shit designed to sell toys or how the lightsaber with a guard isn't part of Star Wars canon despite the fact that the movies don't really address lightsaber design.

A light weapon with a guard is more practical than the ones we're accustomed to. After the incontrovertible pieces of shit that were Episodes 1-3, I can't believe the shit people are complaining about. Just imagine if the trailer showed a lightwhip or something.

The blade probably runs the length of the guard so you're still hitting blade if the metal part breaks. It's probably just there to protect the user from the heat.

Eh, I don't think the animals pose much of a threat. Rhinos can be tough to kill but they're not all that common. My favorite combo has been the recurve bow and grenade launcher. Unfortunately, I just crossed into North Kyrat where it seems like every enemy can withstand a couple of arrows.

AC 3 receives a lot of undue hate. I can see how some wouldn't like the protagonist, but it was a refreshing change from the Italian shit. Then again, I never finished it so maybe there were egregious problems near the end of the game.
