    World of Warcraft: Current Year

What makes these games is the initial novelty and the friends we make - you can never replicate that original feeling because the factors that created that cannot be replicated

Tauren Mill in closed beta was pretty funny. Mages used to be able to channel pyroblast while invis and the invis wouldn't break until the cast completed. So mages would basically just setup on the fringes and 1 shot squishy people and then reinvis. Most of them had no idea warlocks could...

Yup. On our server Death it basically went 1) first couple weeks people build cities 2) mega guild kills a major city, people from killed city join other city 3) mega guild kills 2nd major city 4) literally the entire server teams up and kills mega guild city 5) server dies because almost...

The problem with true sandbox games is the only content of note is what other players contribute to the server. Once you get past the initial "build a city" part, then people start looking to destroy other cities and it becomes pretty easy to end up in a "mega town kills the server" situation...

    Fallout

Enclave and Vault Tec have always been cozy, so there is a lot of overlap. Presumably all the Vault Tec middle managers got some additional clearance and information before they got put on ice - which makes sense. Bud's goal was to have a consistent management of a project for hundreds of...

    World of Warcraft: Current Year

Looks like no Blizzcon this year - probably felt the content ready to present wasn't worth the negative press that might have come from it

NA/EU servers shutting down. Haven't played in many years, but it was fun times while it lasted with Tuco's company https://archeage.playkakaogames.com/news/3136?index=3136

I think the book makes it clear it was an excuse to purge spies/loyalists to Ishido

There was additional subtext to that scene: Toronaga was secretly getting Blackthorne to bathe (at that point, he had not washed at all)

    Shōgun

The hints were there. Like his brother shows up and he is like “I heard you have a trained barbarian!” and he would dismiss Blackthorne like he was a toddler Toronaga demonstrates that being a villain or a hero depends on what side of history you end up on. Toronaga was committed enough to...

    Hades (Supergiant Games)

Hephaestus was a mechanical genius. A wheeled personal chariot for himself that he can zoom around in would be in character and period appropriate Your asses are all going to be tossed into Tartarus for your lack of faith

As far as I know it’s a one and done. They’ve told the story from the book already The closest thing to a “sequel” is another novel that takes place in Japan during the 1860s, so it would be completely different characters

The ending had a lot of open ended things going on with it, but I suppose that was partially the point. In the end, only Toronaga had a firm destiny

Somber ending, but was good. One point that confused me

Toronaga's plan with Mariko was all the stuff pre-ninja attack. He had basically put them in checkmate 1) Mariko isn't allowed to leave, she kills herself and Ishido loses support from Lady Ochiba and other lords in Osaka 2) Mariko is allowed to leave because she is not a prisoner, so other...

I used to use the shield backpack until they nerfed it - I use the armor that lets you survive fatal hits on proc as a replacement. It procs enough that it helps mitigate some of the 1-shot mechanics you encounter. The blastpad heavy armor also works pretty well vs bots - those gun towers...

The gulpers in the show looked to be an Axotol or something, Far Harbor and FO76 had regular salamanders. In FO76 the Westtek computers dive into some of the lore of the mutated animals. Gulpers were a proto-FEV experiment

    Starfield - Fallout fallout that isn't ES6

Ship building was cool in concept, but in execution it REALLY needed to be better 1) While having different parts available in different spots is a cool idea in concept, in practice it sucked because you had no way of storing parts to use elsewhere. So if you wanted a ship with a specific...
