me too. i guess 15 years ago it was possible to have 15 different starting cities, but in 2013 (almost 2014) that's just too much to ask for....

everquest was gigantic when it launched (size wise), and it didn't take an arm and a leg to make it. EQ succeeded because it was fun, and the expansions came out at a good pace to keep the game feeling fresh. i don't see why brad couldn't do it again.

you don't have to plan a game to be big or small, just make it GOOD. when you make a good game, the money will follow. TES didn't start out with a 20 million dollar budget, neither did diablo or zelda or any other of over a thousand different games that have come out over the past 30 years...

i agree. there is nothing wrong with the trinity. now, i also have no problem with people finding ways to circumvent the holy trinity by coming up with ingenious ideas on their own (hello, AOE groups anyone?) the point is, the holy trinity existed in EQ, but a group of really talented players...

this game already exists. it's called GW2 and it fucking sucks. playing capture the flag all day, every day is fucking a million times worse than doing dailies or quest grinds. doing a zerg fest pvp for a few shitty rewards is lame and if that's the way MMO's are heading, they are doomed.
