EU is set in europe from 1400 - 1800 ish. So you have all the existing nations big and small you can place. Creates a feeling of a real world you're entering and part of the challenge you have is which nation you place, and then what you decide to do with them. Kinda like if it was set today...

I'm not sure I like the symmetrical start they've got in this. It makes sense on a lot of levels, but one of the things I love about EU4 is having the option to play at different levels with my own goals. I can play one of the big boys and conquer the world, or go for a trade empire or even just...

Wow, pretty much the worst result imaginable for Everton. I almost feel sorry for them but not really. Only concern is Origi's injury. Hopefully it's not serious since he's been on fire lately.

I could have sworn there was a thread on this already but might have just been mentioned in another one. Preoders are available now for a May 9th release. Looks like a 4x game but on a larger scale than you get in Civ. If this has half the depth of EU or CK series, it's going to be fantastic...

Got to learn Mombasa on the weekend. Really enjoyed it, though the newbie setup is skewed towards one of the companies a bit too much. That might have just been our play though. Also, the book keeping track feels a little under done. I understand there's winning strategies that focus on it but...

Yep. The rules start with a beginner set up which is really straight forward. It's pretty much a tutorial version. The expert setup introduces some advanced rules but they're modular, so you can add them one at a time to get used to them, which is what we're doing. Probably the one flaw of the...

I been getting into Flash Point Fire Rescue lately. Really great coop that doesn't seem to be as alpha gamer prone as Pandemic. There's also a couple of fan made campaign guides to give it a bit more depth which I look forward to trying, but I'd love to see it given a full legacy treatment.

Yeah, Man U can be pretty happy about keeping it to just 2-0 and 11 men on the field. The two goals came down to inches going our way but I'm not going to complain Having a full week to prepare, while Man U have to play a cup game against West Ham, makes me pretty confident of going through.

Holy crap, what a match! Talk about roller coaster ride. Clearly conceding 4 goals, especially against Norwich is pretty terrible, but coming back from 3-1 and then pulling ahead again after the injury time equalizer shows some real fortitude. hopefully it signals a return of the never give up...

Fucking one shot on target. The difference in our keeper compared to the other Champions League contenders probably accounts for 10 pts or move over the course of the season.

Pretty entertaining game, so I'm sure the neautrals really enjoyed. I feel like we gave the game away with some really soft goals, but no doubt the Arsenal fans feel like they let 3 points slip away at the end.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens (2015)

Have to say I was pretty disappointed. It's certainly not prequels bad, but completely underwhelming. Probably the biggest issue is they've tried to cram too much in, leaving each part a little bit too thin. This is particularly true of the characters. There were some good parts to it, but I'm...
