Loatheb is a really good card. If you're behind most of the time you need spells to even out the board. No spells or just one spell? Not as effective. But you need to play it on the right turn to have the maximum effect, which is why I personally like it a lot.

I imagine chat rooms and observer mode will make it better, but you're right you don't randomly meet people really. Adding in "raid" decks like the WoW TCG had so it is group PvE would be fun.
