Watched the special - the "alien of the week" plotline was pretty predictable from the get go and it was nice seeing the DoctorDonna again. Donna was always an underrated companion. The "message" they worked into the special was pretty heavy handed, though. Like they could have made it work...

The way to look at it is Omniman = Goku and Mark = Gohan. Gohan always had higher potential in theory than Goku, but he never pursued it. Invincible is basically "what if Gohan actually improved as the show went on and didn't lapse?"

The show has been pretty faithful to the comics thus far. I doubt they will remove that storyline - at worst they might not actually show it. Like they'll make it clear what is happening and sort of cut away and then show the aftermath.

They didn't pull in the Expanse, they pushed with ships for some. On others, they actually fitted the asteroids themselves with boosters.

That means it made at least enough money and streaming views to not outright get rejected out of hand at least I recall some other interview that mentioned it would potentially happen, although at a lower budget
