Actually I mostly liked the way they reorganized the world/planes in 4E. Granted I'd stopped playing DnD well before 4E came out and never actually got to play any 4E, but I'd love the chance to play the Scales of War adventure path from Dungeon magazine adapted to like the WotR engine or something.

You just described all of the DnD game enhanced editions. They aren't remasters, it's mainly a playability/accessibility thing. The original Steam version of NWN 2 has been delisted since 2012 and doesn't even work right for some of the people who own it.

Almost all cartoon to live action adaptations are awful. Filoni definitely has his issues but that show was always doomed.

WotR is like...3-4x the game that Kingmaker is. I don't think you could ever go back to Kingmaker after playing even halfway through WotR.

If we're talking about just Kingmaker then I guess it's a tolerable choice since you're playing without all the shit that makes buffing even stronger in WotR. Even if everyone had blind fight I'd still be buffing with freedom of movement though, it provides immunity to so many potentially...

Except feats are limited, freedom of movement should be part of any standard buff package anyway, and both games are kind enough to provide you with a very usable ranger companion to spread the lvl 4 spell slot burden out a bit. Or if you're an omega try-hard a brown fur transmuter merc in wotr...

Freedom of movement provides immunity to wild gaze and it has a duration in minutes per level. In an emergency holy-aura and its 3 evil/law/chaos alternates provide immunity to mind-affecting for rounds per level.
