Yeah, I don't entirely get it either. The second guy was accusing the first of trolling the group. I dunno. Getting locked into someone's afk and not being able to leave the game was the crappiest part.

I think my biggest gripe with the patch is that either the speed of mobs was increased and/or the game is frequently lagged and rubber-banding. It seems like it is harder for me to stay on target with moving mobs and I am wasting more ammunition. Outside of the patch, I had my first experience...

I don't have the same issue with stuttring, but, yeah, if I play with the Ubisoft overlay on, I get a whole lot more random issues and crashing. It's worth a shot to turn it off.

So a lot of the reviews of the 1660ti answer yes to your question. But if I pull up the verified 3DMark data: Result I find it hard to believe that that 1660ti is actually acceptable for 1440p when it doesn't even outperform the RX 580* or 590 in 1080p. * Those RX 580 numbers are a little insane.

I am coming to the same conclusion. The game is running CPUs and possibly GPUs at 100%+ and causing them to crash. I have returned my CPU clock to 3.6GHz from the 3.9GHz I usually run, and the game is suddenly stable. I wonder if I limit the CPU power state maximum to like 95% or 98% in windows...

So I've been trying to run Division 2 and constantly crashing. Been tweaking everything I can--page file size, misc windows 10 processes, DX11/12, Windowed mode, resolution, triple buffering, FreeSync, overlays, gpu driver...game is still crashing usually within 10 minutes of running. Crashes...

Maybe this is an odd question, but are any games known to overclock the gpu/cpu on their own?

I had something similar happen with Far Cry 3, but I turned off a whole bunch of windows 10 stuff and it went away. Out of ideas for the night.

On PC, I encountered that high pitch tone I think. It was alternating left speaker to right for me. Then the game crashed. I turned off all overlays I could think of, switched back from DX 12 to DX11. I keep trying to turn off VSync but it comes back on...And the game predictably crashes over...
