    Ancient Civilizations

It's a fair point. When I hear this stuff I always think about a story from about 15 years ago, the workers in a metal shop were told that they would be replaced soon for high tech machines with greater precision because that degree of precision was needed for the metalwork of the future...

    Ancient Civilizations

There is another possibility, they aren't from the Egyptian civilization at all, but rather from an older more advanced one.

    Terrible & appealing invention ideas

I wasted my time looking into this, basically the shirt is worthless against stabbing. It works a bit against slashing. My idea is still on the table!

    Ancient Civilizations

It's actually worse than that. If we collapse this time coming back will be significantly harder since we've stripped the surface of many of the resources you'd need to build civilization again. Metals, oil etc. We go deep to get many of them now. Basically this is our last best shot.

    Terrible & appealing invention ideas

Ok, this might just be an awesome one but somehow it'll lead to horrible things. They have antishark wetsuits that can stop a shark bite, but not the crushing obviously. Knife attacks or people being threatened with machetes are increasingly common. Historically there was chainmail or other...

    Whats rustling your jimmies?

The 300 blackout was an AR. None of them do an astounding amount of damage. Inside the body is usually in the heart/ lungs.

    Whats rustling your jimmies?

The type of rifle doesn't matter obviously. I've used a 30-06, a shotgun with a slug, and a 300 blackout. My buddies have used everything from a 45-70 to a .270 on deer in northern Minnesota where the longest shot you are going to get is 200 yards. They all do just fine as long as you hit it...

The Paranormal, UFO's, and Mysteries of the Unknown

The sad part is if it were available to me all I'd want to do is hit my cabin in the middle of nowhere every weekend. Maybe buy a second and transport between them depending on the hunting/ fishing season.

Baldur's Gate 3 by Larian Games

This is almost exactly my experience. My friends wanted me to try it because it's, "exactly like d+d" or whatever. It's fine I guess, the fights rarely require any PoA. I got bored enough that i just started doing the Leroy Jenkins thing and we still beat almost every fight first try even...

    Whats rustling your jimmies?

Speaking of getting rustled. I come from a large hunting family but even they are saying that no one hunts with an AR because there would be nothing left to eat nonsense. I know most of them haven't hunted in ages but still. I calmly correct them each time, explaining how the type of rifle...

    Pan'Theon: Rise' of th'e Fal'Len - #1 Thread in MMO

You may be correct. Personally I'd probably sign up and pay the monthly fee just to casually play. I'd think there would be quite a few like me but no where near what EQ or WoW had anywhere near their top. Then again the costs of development aren't really that high either. The real question...

    Smartphones

I bought the Galaxy flip 5 a month ago and so far it's great. I'm nervous about the screen but having a small box in my pocket kicks ass over having a gigantic phone. The Fold 5 just seems to have all the drawbacks of a gigantic phone with few of the bonuses. I get that women have purses...

    No Hard Feelings (2023)

Since it was in Netflix, yes we are subscibed atm, I decided to check it out. 4 out of 10 - Yes she gets naked in a I've had a baby so here's my deflated, not perky boobs now. Everyone still would, whatever. The music choices feel so by the numbers it brings the movie down, there aren't...

As a reader of this series, and not liking it much, I can only hope that Lizzo is chosen as the dream wife for Luo Ji.

    Kung Fury (2015)

I thought I'd follow up and see if this is ever getting released. Apparently they had problems with special effects, scheduled for November release as far as I can tell. That trailer not really having anything new concerns me though

    Whats rustling your jimmies?

This week it's Xfinity wireless. I won't waste anyone's time with a boring story but for the love of all that's holy could they be any worse at customer service? One of my oldest friends is a big deal with them and I don't even want to waste my time complaining to her, I'm sure she's heard it...

I've got way too many dice trays. Once you try one and come upon one that seems better it's tough to resist, they don't cost much generally.

2 things of note. Metal dice can damage things, like wood. Gemstone dice break pretty easily depending on the stone used. That being said my favorite dice are Hematite. Super legible and roll well.

    What did you just read?

As much as I generally like the exact type of book you are talking about they run into one issue, just like sci fi does. It's so niche that when one hits it turns into a series that overstays it's welcome by a mile. The 1632 series comes to mind. Love the first 2 or three and then it was...

Probably around 200 but I'm not bothering to ask her. Even if it was 400 it's literally one hour of work or less for one person plus they get paid normally in addition. I'll happily do it myself.
