Guess I am the odd one out as I have always had an affinity for SoE. I love PlanetSide2, Everquest2, and H1Z1. I enjoy Landmark and I am looking forward to EQN, albeit with a very skeptical eye. This news doesnt strike me as good and I am somewhat concerned for the future of the studio.

Combat sounds a lot like WildStar which was not that good. BG's were a clusterfuck of spammed abilities. Melee is always a chore in free swing games, too. No healing means there is little reason to not be ranged. Skeptical gamer is skeptical.

Game is certainly worth the 20$ If you are a fan of Rust or DayZ, I highly recommend H1Z1. The game is in Early Access, but the foundation is solid.

First thing to do is shred your jeans and shirt for the cloth needed to craft a 300 slot satchel. Then craft your bow and 15+ arrows. Grab 20+ berries and then head out!

There is character persistence on my server in H1Z1. When I die, I still have my discovered crafting plans. Discovering all the crafting plans is a major goal of the game, imo.

In those games the servers are not hosted by the game company so its not the same.
