Unlike older games, where you get healing touch 1, 2, 3, 4 as you level, if you want to heal more, you upcast the lower level spell. Still, in this game healing spells are fairly worthless outside of healing word, since potions are better. The main purpose of healing word is to stop characters...

    Starfield - Fallout fallout that isn't ES6

Haven't had a pirate attack, but there could be a trigger that I didn't hit, or I just haven't played long enough for it to happen (maybe 2 or 3 hours since finishing the base). My base consists of: 10+ level 1 extractors/miners 1 large round landing pad 1 transfer pad 3 level 1 solar 3 He3...

There are no plants or animals on Linnaeus IV-b, but that also means you dont need defenses, which I assume are useful on planets with atmospheres.

I don't think so. I had the same problem when finding all of those 7 in one spot (once), but for me it was He3 vs Ytterbium. Ytterbium is rare, but also not used in as much stuff as any of the other items, so I just dropped it from consideration. Both He3 and Aluminum are used in enough things...

You may have come to the point where you need specialty tools, or, at least, they will make the job of chasing gremlins much easier. Skimming back over your old posts, I didn't see anything about a tune up? You could replace plugs and wires or you could test them (you have to take them all off...

Blizzard is a lie, this reality is a LIE

I would guess that you have to do it like a Beautiful Mind and ask multiple people as you go, depending on how the illusions work, the brain can't make up illusionary people of the fly? I don't really know how it works. I meant as a way to actually get help, and know that it's not just having...

Blizzard is a lie, this reality is a LIE

Whether a third party can actually see and talk to the second party, that you are talking to, is probably a start. I am fairly confident a third party could not see, nor talk to the three dudes that watch him, watching porn.

Blizzard is a lie, this reality is a LIE

If a person has a hard time telling what is reality and what isn't, how does one know they are actually getting help, or if it's just part of the brain's malfuntioning fabricated reality?

I would love it in this game too, if they could figure out how to actually make it a mechanic that adds difficulty. I tried to stretch resting as a self imposed difficulty mechanic and it made fight decisions more tactical or "feel" more DnD to me (used more consumables and cantrips, mostly).

Baldur's Gate 3 by Larian Games

Resting is a core DnD mechanic, so they had to included it. I just don't see how they could ever make it work right in a video game like this. I think one of their design goals was to accommodate players that don't want to explore ever part of the map, or just plain miss areas like the...

I had this sorta happen (but opposite) on the first first scene in the game. The dude in the elevator (Hecktor?) was rubber necked with the back of his head pointed at me when he was talking.

On one hand I was also thinking outposts were going to be a build your own high tech walls and building too, which was a little disappointing. On the other hand, outposts don't feel completely worthless like FO4 settlements were. At least now you can set up outposts to manufacture parts needed...

GoT - Is Over, Post Your Drogon Sightings

If we just count the actors getting parts since D&D destroyed the IP with season 8 (2019), I have only seen Alfie Allen, Jason Momoa, and Madson (Rob Stark) in one show each, which were SAS: Rogue Heroes, Dune, and 1917. If we open it up to after they got big on GoT, around season 3 (2013)...

Kinda funny in the asshole prank kind of way, so I assume it's just an asshole doing "pranks" as something to do when he wants to fly his drone. People were trolls before the internet and did things for the lulz in real life for probably all of human history. Back in the small village/tribal...

Easy, even if you are interested in it eventually being a good game, it will go on sale before that happens. So why not save 20-50% when refunds are so easy to get? Morrowind and Skyrim are the only two Beth games that I played even close to the amount of hours that I have already spend on BG3...

I think I read that shops reset every 48 "standard" hours, or what ever they call their base time unit. So find a planet with very slow spin and 1 hour of rest on it will take X hours of standard time (it's the same 1 hour tick for the player waiting or sleeping). The Planet where you can get up...

    The Astronomy Thread

I tried to do some quick google searches on it, but didn't really find anything exactly addressing the internals of the moon. If I had to take a guess, it would be that while the moon is stuck in tidal lock in the Earth's gravity well, it is still pulled by the sun. The center of gravity/orbit...

Yea, my bad; it was a bug that got fixed in the last patch. I didn't read the wiki when I saw it, because I wasn't going to go that route, yet, and didn't want to spoil anything. I thought you just had to win some rolls to make her give up and run back to Moonrise, when you send her to attack...

According to the internet (wiki), if you want to max companions you can actually get Minthara while saving the Grove/Halsin. You just have to make a string of right decisions and she will get away, in act 1. Edit: NM, I saw it on the wiki a couple weeks ago, but never actually read it. It was a...

Yea, and I was hoping that killing the druids would appease the Gobos, but nope, no way to save them and side with Gobos. Since I already experienced the Tieflings side of the game, I wanted to see what the other way went. I just got to Act 2, before Starfield break, but getting to Moonrise in...

Yea, I had to build the big landing pad for my ship, but it took at least an hour to build that ship, so too late to get a new one now! But yea, I could see a more robust space mini game that different ship classes can do different things.
  28. Burns

    Starfield - Fallout fallout that isn't ES6

Supposedly you can make a ship up to 80 x 80 squares, so it would be hard to make ship/space events, like that, compelling for such a wide different in ship size. After reading that, I thought making a Borg cube would be funny, but I made a pretty big ship and it gets shit framerate (6fps) on...

In my first goody-two-shoes playthrough he ended up being Ash and the second Dark Urge playthrough he left the party. Harder to be ebil and save the Teiflings at the same time, maybe I will play as Wyll and see what happens. I guess killing the druids off, but saving the Theiflings is kinda evil.

Camera is a different kind of wonky, dunno if it's better or worse. As for base location selection, finding all 3 in a single base area shouldn't be too hard. You just land on a border between 2 biomes. I think biomes with He3, may also have Aluminum (at least the recommended "best" planet...

Worst bugs I have hit so far is outpost shit: The spawn in point was set under the world, and it didn't seem to matter where I placed it in ring. Yea, I looked up NG+ (because people said it was something major) and it didn't seem worth it unless you really really love Beth games. Even then, it's should be used as a means to play a fresh game with small changes and a few bonuses. For me it's a pointless feature, since Beth games are...
