That wasn't Bernard talking to her. It was Arnold. I could talk endlessly about how inconsistent the show has been, particularly over technology and security measures. The writers were very sloppy, and created a lot of convenient inconsistencies to help the story along.

The game still looks very floaty to me. Like the characters have no weight. They really need to aim for a similar 'feel' to that of World of Warcraft.

To be fair, Bernard was in the same position and never realized (which again, creates a lot more questions). But we know from the hosts in the park that they're programed not to question the reality of their existence - and we saw instances in Bernard where he literally couldn't process things...

This is what I don't get. They had super high fidelity in watching the MiB, and had to particularly approve his use of a small explosive. But a host murder/suicides herself and no one takes notice at all? Let's also not forget that she was almost immediately apprehended just the previous episode...

The writers of this show have been terrible since Season 2. Every now and then the stars manage to align (usually when they're sticking to the source material)...but episodes like this just really highlight how bad they are. I honestly just stopped watching after 15 minutes.

I don't even understand *why* Ford would be behind Maeve's little rebellion. The only thing that would really make sense is if he was going to use it to solidify his power over the company in some way (like, prove he's the only one that can control them - or use them to overthrow the board)...

I continue to hate Maeves storyline. I don't undersand how Ford would allow anyone but himself to control Bernard. He's been in the room when people have given voice command, how has it not affected him if apparently anyone with administration credentials can do it. And again, she's WAY off...

Well, we know Maeve has malfunctioned in the past year as well (wouldn't respond to commands), but they still moved her as a somewhat pivotal role in the park. Perhaps they just really overestimate their ability to wipe their memories, and underestimate the code Arnold has hidden within.

Is it bad editing when they're purposefully trying to make people believe it's all happening at the same time? If anything, seems like it's pretty good if it manages to trick so many people into thinking it's one timeline, and create so much debate over it.

I don't think them being hosts really explains their behavior either. Arnold's code would be the one pushing them to allow it, but how could they get away with it without Ford knowing?

That's the problem, they made a big deal over how serious security was early in the show, but it's just lax when it's convenient for the story. They immediately realized when Maeve was off-script in Westworld, but there aren't more stringent security protocols in the real world?

Love the show, but I can't really stand Maeve's storyline. You have to jump through a TON of hoops to try and make sense of it (mostly why these techs are so stupid and have so much access, or how there is no security protocols to detect her actions/behavior). Perhaps there will be some grand...
