It's not shocking that our reality TV nation is so easily hyped with manufactured drama and promotion. It is kind of sad, though. Unless the fight is scripted, and they start some crazy WWE shit, this fight is going to be boring as fuck from a competitive standpoint.

You can still do that. And it still works mostly like you described. But I wouldn't really call their system "permadeath" in the traditional sense.

They floated permadeath as a possible idea for a campaign that only allowed one death. But it was never a staple of the overall game mechanics, from my understanding.

Even if it's not exploitable at all, I find it to be a pretty stupid idea and not really worthy of any development time this early on. I mean, we've seen more "gameplay" for this stinker than pretty much anything else combined.
