    The Astronomy Thread

This might end up being a little rambley but I hope it makes sense. Been connecting a lot of recent theories lately and I think I'm onto something, but I'm not always as good at putting things into words as I am at visualizing all the moving parts. Idk why it just now clicked for me. But that...

It's really dumb that they don't make something like this. There's guys that already spend a LOT of money on Helixes and what not. It wouldn't be that much more expensive to add some real analogue distortion technology to the package. I think maybe in a sense, the manufacturers are...

@Tarrant what hospital do you use? Over in Lansing I assume? If your doctors can't seem to get a handle on your issues I would recommend trying to go to a University of Michigan hospital. They treated both me and my mother very very well over the years at the one in Ann Arbor.

Keto also can help reset the immune system. Keto isn't healthy long term but doing it for a few months can induce remission from immune problems. This probably sounds like a Lumi thing to say but I have documentation backing it up -- keto helped cure my cancer. And weirdly seemed to help keep...

Yeah I used one for awhile after my cancer was in my spine. Helped a ton. Mine was pretty similar to the one on the far right, seemed like a good design. For me also helped to use an abdominal / lumbar support sort of belt, even tho my pain was often higher up than that.

    His Dark Materials

Does it get worse? It's got some really awesome CS Lewis Chronicles of Narnia (at least it's like the Narnia books, I've never seen the movies) vibes as far as the content of the moral allegory being presented. That's my favorite aspect of the story, the metaphorical stuff that's going on.

This might seem like a weird thought, but isn't the discrepancy between different clocks in different gravity wells actually due to a change in the way their chemistry works in different gravitation rather than being due to changes in the time they're actually shifting? I.e. quartz clocks don't...

I like time to be calculable by the movements of heavenly bodies. The point I mention takes roughly 24 hours to come full circle, the equations for relativity should work out beautifully. Note that such a timing convention only works for tidally locked bodies. Calculating time on Mars vs...

They should just have lunar time be whatever time it is on Earth at the point closest to the lunar surface. I.e. the same as the time on Earth at the point perpendicular to 0°-0° in the selenographic coordinate system.

    Health Problems

I've posted this many times over the years but singling it out yet again just because I still see guys that haven't switched... For years doctors wanted to prescribe Lyrica/pregabalin instead of Neurontin/gabapentin for nerve damage. But often Neurontin was prescribed instead due insurance...

    Health Problems

What are you taking the gabapentin for? Pregabalin is a better substitute in many cases but gabapentin has been one of those "panacea" sort of medications that gets prescribed off label a lot. I wouldn't be surprised if years of gabapentin has been jamming up some liver enzymes. Pregabalin...
