One thing about the scaling is it only scales you to CP160 as this is the max 'ilevel' for gear. So yes you will vendor a lot of shit until past 50 -- CP system is AA all over again and you have to do it. CP is also account wide, I grinded a lot of CP through alts -- as soon as an alt hits 50...
