It's probably the inrush current charging your motor capacitor when it's fully drained. Once it's charged up then you can turn it on and off without as much of a spike. If it's a big saw you can probably safely put a 30 amp breaker on it or better yet rewire it for 240 volts and put a big...

All kinds of electrical grid upgrades are being built as we speak. For the vast majority of people who drive to commute an ev is already better than a gas car. It's more than enough range to get to work and back and it charges in the garage while you sleep so you leave with a full tank every...

Hehe I sometimes tow a car hauler trailer with my F-150 and there's been times when I got a little too optimistic and cars were flashing their high beams at me all the way home because my low beams were higher than they are supposed to be.

A boat is one thing you can pull with a smaller truck because they don't weigh anything. A 16 foot bass boat on a trailer is probably under 3000 lbs. When I say a heavy trailer I'm talking about 10-15000 lb load on a trailer that weighs 5-6000 lbs itself.

    Car ?'s

I don't know but I can tell you that my F-350 with a heavy trailer on doesn't go that much more than 100 miles between fill ups. You can probably get 200 miles if you don't mind coming in on fumes.

But the point is, so far there's no electric option on ¾ or 1 ton pickups and I'm guessing there won't be until the towing issue is resolved. The Cybertruck has been hyped as a "real" truck so it will be interesting to see how it does towing.

    Car ?'s

It's not useful for pulling a trailer for camping unless you can charge very close to your destination. On the other hand, I bet if you asked F-150 owners how many times a year they pull a trailer more than 50 miles the most popular answer would be zero.
  16. BrutulTM

    Car ?'s

Yeah it was pretty clear from the beginning that towing is a non-starter with the lighting, at least if you want to go more than 50 miles. I would say that most people who are going to be pulling a trailer regularly probably aren't buying a half ton pickup anyway but it's a pretty significant...

No sarcasm intended. If you had wheels on it, you wouldn't need the concrete was my thought. Put the wheels on both gates and then get rid of the concrete which is probably going to take out your muffler some time while you're trying to use the gate.

In the context of the number of dogs there are, it's still pretty safe. According to Google, there are 18 million pit bulls in the US. If 33 of them killed someone, that's 1 in 50,000. When people say their pit bull would never hurt someone, 99.998% of them are right. I don't think I'd...
