I think groups of 5 would work well in the Euro's and World up, with top 2 progressing. Gives smaller countries more experience by playing 4 games without being too taxing.

Guessing there's still nearly no interest in this, but one of the DLCs, Betrayal is available for free on all platforms. Makes me glad I just bought the base games. I am enjoying seeing new maps and stuff though.

New patch came out this week, anyone tried it yet? Might give it another spin. Doubt it's fixed any of the fundamental issues I have with the game but hopefully it's moving in the right direction. notes:

Why didn't our (liverpool) owner's just buy southhampton as well and merge the teams? Surely it would have been cheaper.

Spain picked the perfect day to lose. Any other day, all the headlines would be about their defeat and how it might be the end of spain's dominence over the last few years.

I assumed the letter was to Littlefinger. She already sent Brienne to ask for help from the Blackfish, so it's redundant to sent a raven as well.

I must admit I'm actually a little disappointed with it. Mostly it's because I was expecting EU4 in space, where as it's really just another 4x game with elements from EU4, though it probably borrows more from CK but I haven't played that much. It's still a great game if you're looking at it...

Anyone know how the champion's league spot? Is it an extra spot, or does it take the place of the 4th place team? That would be an even better result!

    Captain America: Civil War (2016)

Saw it earlier today, and really enjoyed it. Don't think I'd call it the best comic book movie ever. For me, Avengers, GotG and Winter Soldier from the MCU are still better, along with the Dark Knight and Deadpool.

Kindgom Death does look like a great game but not sure it's the best option for getting into board games again. I'd recommend Pandemic ( or Pandemic Legacy), Ticket to Ride, or Catan. They're great introductions which can easily be taught to other people. If you enjoy them, you'll quickly move...

EU is set in europe from 1400 - 1800 ish. So you have all the existing nations big and small you can place. Creates a feeling of a real world you're entering and part of the challenge you have is which nation you place, and then what you decide to do with them. Kinda like if it was set today...

I'm not sure I like the symmetrical start they've got in this. It makes sense on a lot of levels, but one of the things I love about EU4 is having the option to play at different levels with my own goals. I can play one of the big boys and conquer the world, or go for a trade empire or even just...

I could have sworn there was a thread on this already but might have just been mentioned in another one. Preoders are available now for a May 9th release. Looks like a 4x game but on a larger scale than you get in Civ. If this has half the depth of EU or CK series, it's going to be fantastic...

Got to learn Mombasa on the weekend. Really enjoyed it, though the newbie setup is skewed towards one of the companies a bit too much. That might have just been our play though. Yep. The rules start with a beginner set up which is really straight forward. It's pretty much a tutorial version. The expert setup introduces some advanced rules but they're modular, so you can add them one at a time to get used to them, which is what we're doing. Probably the one flaw of the...

I been getting into Flash Point Fire Rescue lately. Really great coop that doesn't seem to be as alpha gamer prone as Pandemic. There's also a couple of fan made campaign guides to give it a bit more depth which I look forward to trying, but I'd love to see it given a full legacy treatment.

Yeah, Man U can be pretty happy about keeping it to just 2-0 and 11 men on the field. The two goals came down to inches going our way but I'm not going to complain Having a full week to prepare, while Man U have to play a cup game against West Ham, makes me pretty confident of going through.

Holy crap, what a match! Talk about roller coaster ride. Clearly conceding 4 goals, especially against Norwich is pretty terrible, but coming back from 3-1 and then pulling ahead again after the injury time equalizer shows some real fortitude. hopefully it signals a return of the never give up...
