You can get wisdom scrolls by selling extra transmutation orbs, blacksmith whetstones or armor scraps at 4/4/2:1 respectively. Portal scrolls also sell for 1 wisdom a piece. As far as gearing up, you can always stop and farm a zone a few times to try and get some drops before you progress...

I wouldn't do a build solely based on storm brand. It is decent at clearing but it's absolute shit for single target unless there is some way to make all your brands stack on 1 target instead of just 1.
