Depends id say, the 5600x seems like the sweet spot with good ram unless you want to buy the 5900x. However some want the 5800x so in the end its everything BUT the 5950x
Eh the game has a crazy amount of customization to your individual - im only level 5 so i havent even opened up much but just the 2-3 points i have to spend will have me looking over the 20+ advancement options.
What is the real price youre paying for that 1080TI or do you already have that?
Amazon has had some restock of 5900x as recently as a day ago. I'd just watch r/buildapcsales for updates - people post frequently there for restock or items on sale.
I dont quite have an answer for this, not...
Decided to wait, there isnt anything to play now that cant be swapped for something on the PC - I'm amused by those trying to resell a console for 1000+ and even more so those that would spend pc level cash for a console.
I havent run into any bugs so far, and comparatively to the D2 expansion its far more enjoyable. Combat is alot of fun and its quite nice visually - tempted to see what the difference in quality would be with the AMD setting you cant turn on.
Went from the 11.6 down to the 8.9 and fits like a glove. Distro plate here on Thursday so can try not to ruin everything on the weekend. Tho I imagine i will have to do all runs runs or most of them next month when EK finally releases 3090FE blocks.
Also from that Linus video some time ago...
Guess i dont need to change my 3800CL14 then - if anything id try to get it to 4000CL14
also notice the 5600x is just shitting all over intel's 10900k in these charts
Steve the only reviewer doing his homework.
I need to read up on OCing ram, tried to set mine to 4000hz and forgot to change timings and that didnt go to well. the XMP is 3800hz w/ CL14, but i want to do 4000hz w/ CL14 or 15
Newegg had stock of black a few days back for about 6 hours. Well actually they had them all and I posted it in the desktop thread but no one seemed to check it in time.
This, I build for friends and fam and just to try new things. Generally I build once then upgrade a part here or there for a couple years or so. I sell off the old or pass it down to someone. First pc I built was way back before velious came out in EQ 😂
As it’s my first attempt at water cooling i decided to go big or not at all. I never have much time to go on vacations and even when I do I take work with me so it’s easy to have plenty of money to f with a pc build every other year. Real question. Is what the hell is everyone else doing where...
Its a mini IPS display that will be used to show diagnostics for temps, cpu/gpu speed, hopefully i can get flow rate integrated along with system wattage use. Its USB powered and plugs into the nzxt usb add in behind the case. Jay did a video on it recently.
If I didn’t wait on distro plate I could fit one more UniFan.
Mixing Ryzen Wraith and Thermaltake custom P8 setup. It will look better when it’s somewhat done. Considering Ekwb 3080FE isn’t shipping till December this may not be done till next year.
5600x - OC to 4.8 on air w/ Noctua more than likely.
The Dark Hero ASUS board apparently lets you OC the base core while keeping the boost enabled, kinda jelly i hate Asus now.
They are extensions - your PSU cables plug into them and they plug into the GPU and motherboard.
If only I could fit in more.
Also 3080 FE block preorder up - sucks no 3090 yet

Eh - i have games, multi monitors, multiple browsers and apps going on a piddly 3600 - somehow i dont think it would be an issue on a 5600x - my plex server is also ran from the same system too.
"Saving the worse for last"
Neg - and it actually wasnt the best at mozilla compile either going from other reviewers that showed those results - Seems the 5600x is the best gaming cpu since when it OC it just 1-2% below the 5800x but for considerably less.
I wouldnt say they got the crown - it was alot of back and forth but it seemed like AMD won more than lost in the 1440p/4k while clearly winning in 1080p. If they keep having nice increases like this every couple years im quite eager to see the performance they manage on 5nm.
