Was thinking of playing this a couple days ago too, but with JA3 this week, then BG 3 at the end of the month, I didn't want to be burnt out on turn based games by trying to play 3 in a row.

Best I can tell is it's to keep the streamers/youtubers playing, because they know they will get a ton more clicks if they get one to drop, which gives Bliz free publicity and a Twitch metric on game hours streamed, or whatever they do over there.

If you loved DoS, then yea, probably. The rules are more ridged, but the engine is the same, it has a somewhat similar design philosophy, the "main" set of characters have a very in depth set of quests/reactivity, and (I think) they 100% carried over the reactivity of elements, like fire ignites...
