Given the warnings I've been given on the forums lately and the amount of thread and post deletion going on there is zero reason to trust the behavior of DPG. They are promoting the most hostile and toxic community I've ever seen in an MMO.
I don't even know how MQNext is different from MQ2 or any other flavor of macroquest, much less the ISX stuff you mentioned, but there are quite a few people, including me, that use ISBoxer.
I tested out Multiplicity before Aradune. It bypasses truebox. The point of truebox wasn't to get me to buy a $200 laptop off Ebay, it was to reduce my multi-boxing efficacy, which it totally does.
In case anyone wonders why the DPG staff delete so many threads of people discussing GM action against them, this is why.
They have a public policy that can cover virtually anything a player does, and a private policy of letting GMs do whatever they want with zero accountability or recourse...
The forums and its moderators are to EQ what the parking lot of a theme park is to the theme park. Yeah there might be a contract security parking lot guard that is obnoxious, makes a bunch of statements about the theme park that aren't true like, "don't bring alcohol into the park", but at the...
Yeah after nobody got Cragbeast Queen south of 90% with no response from devs it looks like the poorly thought out achievements are here to stay. We can hope! I just bumped this thread with a hot-take...
This is ludicrous. GINA development is dead (afaik), GamParse is made by an EQ dev and ISBoxer is made by someone who explicitly works with game developers to keep it legal to use.
If Lax adds botting to ISBoxer, the "nightmare" of them changing their stance from such an egregious change in...
I don't know what's more pathetic, the disparity between DPG's third party software stated policy and enforcement, or the rafter of middle aged nerds (including me) seeking drama on the forums like flies on shit.
When I returned to WoW after a 10ish year hiatus I had to asked support to help me find them. They were present and accounted for without issue. I'd be very surprised if ArenaNet deleted them.
It's pure clown world, they deleted a post from Protocol asking about UI modifications and my response.
Maybe that being Beimeth's thread means it's just a playground. They won't lock the thread, but they will just arbitrarily moderate it.
This level of capricious community management probably...
I hope you're happy Sieger. edit: oh they unlocked it and are now ninja deleting posts.
I wonder which thread will get bumped next to innocently hint at their current ambiguity for all the drama-loving rabble (including me) to pile into.
I've never heard of anyone even claiming they were suspended for using ISBoxer. It seems like most of the focus is on truebox servers where ISB isn't even functional.
Yeah, the dumbest shit about them not whitelisting ISB is that Lax literally reaches out to them to avoid implementing features that are against their game's wishes. I found this out when I first started using it and made a feature request they rejected because it was too close to automation.
Think about the situation a little harder and you might get there.
Let me put it another way: currently GamParse falls within their very broadly described list of discouraged third party programs, defined here: Constructive criticism regarding recent ban waves. | Page 3 | EverQuest Forums
If...
Will be happy to see it launch, but if the entire thing blows up it's probably a good thing (as long as nobody or any useful infrastructure doesn't get hurt). The sooner Artemis is rethought around Starship the better.
I agree that there's a lot of static thrown around by players, for several reasons, but I don't have enough trust in DPG to believe that they aren't constantly making mistakes on account actions.
DPG's actions are obfuscated by time delays, ambiguities and incompetence, so it's hard to tell what people got banned for. And that's presuming they aren't obfuscating it further by mixing in different reasons and randomly sampling the naughty list.
If they could accurately detect ShowEQ usage...
I've never played with you (that I can remember, lol), but the trope of a healer who is needed in raids and shunned outside of them is so common in EQ and other games. Best thing a guild can do is push people to carry them in groups. Best thing a player can do is box a cleric and make a group...
biggest problem I have with the models is how you can't differentiate the races from them. Except for iksar/vah shir They all look like the same species just scaled differently.
