    Chat GPT AI

I don't see that as a benefit. Offloading your ability to just do something simple like write complete thoughts to AI is not a good idea. The purpose of writing a book report is not just to write something. It's to teach you to read a text and criticize it. Understanding what you read and what...

    Chat GPT AI

I was thinking about this the other day. With how rampant kids use AI to avoid doing schoolwork the next generation will be thinking only in prompts. Permanently. The ability to just write an essay on your own using just what's in your head will be unbelievable to them.

https://www.justonecookbook.com/japanese-stewed-hamburger-steak/ This is a dope recipe that is easy to prepare. Bonus that most kids will devour this and it's low effort for a weeknight. It's better stewed than not stewed.

@TomServo Today's episode of using AI in the company. We have a custom AI Agent for the IT team. I had a cert update that broke a bunch of my CLI stuff and I know it was the cert. I get directed to the AI. The AI instructs me on how to use system permissions to simply remove all the default...

LLM's are extremely expensive to train. Indians were cheaper and almost as good. Somewhere out there a middle manager has a fabulous bullet point for working at an AI company and reducing product costs!

Marriage and the Power of Divorce

I think life is funny that way sometimes. An old HS classmate of mind rocked way too hard in her twenties and early thirties. Somehow at age 34 she had an actual come to Jesus moment and became ultra ultra religious married some guy in the Navy and torqued out 2 sets of twins and then a 5th kid...

Visited Chicago for Memorial Day weekend. My best friend from University lives up there. Despite how gay I know Chicago is his slice of it is dope. Absolutely any retard manager can go "durrr lets hire more Indians for half price." There is literally no skill in making that cost benefit analysis. These people are your direct competition largely due to PAJEETIFICATION. When that happens your org and your job is just fucked. They will only...

This is the broader problem. Especially right now. The suits truly believe and are heavily investing in the idea that AI agents and the like take a retard and make him into what was a chad programmer 15 years ago immediately. Doing exactly the Vibe Coding memes that we all laugh at but are very...

This is absolutely accurate. Indian hires can normally only do the exact and singular thing they were hired for. They are unable to handle deviation well and don't learn more breadth of the infrastructure they are working in. As well as trying to offload work onto others constantly.

Bro I fuck up all the time and I am replaceable. By your reckoning 100% of IT should be offshored due to the guaranteed cost savings. I mentioned before that it can take a year for a new dev to understand the company infrastructure and proprietary technology. This is with full on the job...

If you take the guaranteed labor cost savings of the 80% discount Indian worker as a manager you get a good bullet point on your annual budget. Guaranteed. But this also conceals later issues because many problems created by these idiots are only identified far down the road when they are...

There is no level of policing for "excessive breaks" or anything like that in software development, legal, and so on. Your level of productivity is subject to many external factors far beyond your control. You cannot just move more X or create more Y in a quota like capacity. If I finished...

Lots of management time is spent managing costs. At least at my company. We spend a lot of time understanding how to run cheaper and leaner. Your perspective of policing people is one of the factory floor which just doesn't apply in the tech industry in general. If I tell you that you can cut...
