Completely serious. Sure you get plenty of internal damage but it's not like "oh god this guy needs a liver and he'd be just fine," it's "oh god this guy is fucked in so many ways and he's never coming back, I wonder what organs are still salvageable."

I am not a trauma surgeon but I highly doubt there is a huge number of people getting in car wrecks that would otherwise survive if only for a liver/kidney/lung transplant. I'd put money on most car wreck deaths being brain/spinal cord or aorta related and we really don't transplant those.

I'd suggest a totems, firestorm or maybe arc build for a newbie. I started with those when I first played last year and I thought they were pretty noob friendly.

The cure for a lot of chronic diseases is not being a sedentary fatass who smokes for 20+ years unfortunately I don't think we're gonna magically make that go away with a pill, at least in our lifetimes.

I would actually take argument with the entire idea of antibiotics being the only "curative" form of medicine. If a patient who has high blood pressure and start him on an ACE and get it under control, is that not arguably a "cure"? Same for Metformin and diabetes, etc.

I am not a surgeon and am not familiar with the exact studies done, but yes I do think otherwise if you are actually making the statement that it would somehow be impossible for modern surgery to take place without the use of antibiotic prophylaxis.
