I went to the grocery store yesterday to pick up a bag of chips and some of Guy Fieri's salsa for lunch, and I did my standard look-but-don't-touch temptation walk by the baked goods. I noticed that there was a new flavor of Lofthouse Sugar Cookies out: Key Lime. I caved and ended up getting a...

There's nothing wrong with Guy Fieri's food. I expect that kind of hipster attitude from those elitists in the cooking thread, but I figured folks here would be more receptive of his food-for-the-everyman approach to cooking.

I like Tostito's, and that's what I bought last night. However, I noticed the grocery store had a whole series of Guy Fieri salsas which I'm going to try next time. I like his stuff in general.

Just finished the 184-mile C&O Canal Towpath ride. It was really fun, and doing it over 3 days meant it was a nice, leisurely ride. The weather cooperated as well, and we didn't have to deal with any strong rain or excessive heat.

I missed this among Himeo's retardation. In the fall and spring I eat in a similar fashion due to my insanely hectic schedule. Often I'll end the day with 1200 - 1500 calories to eat due to being so busy all afternoon and not really eating much, which means I get to gorge on a massive, delicious...

There's a difference between spreading the word about a diet that works and claiming that it is the ONLY way to lose weight. Just because calories in vs. calories out didn't work for you doesn't mean it's completely useless for everyone. Likewise, just because restricting sugar was the best way...

Is there a reason to use white pepper in alfredo beyond appearance? I actually like how alfredo sauce looks with black pepper added. I can make a mean alfredo sauce but it's so much more expensive than just buying a jar of it in the grocery store for a couple bucks, so I don't make it often.

While I didn't find this movie particularly funny, I think she's pretty funny overall. I enjoyed her in Identity Thief and The Heat, which I think are the only other movies I've seen her in. I never considered it, but I like the comparison to Chris Farley and it seems pretty apt.

I didn't realize the season was about to end. I really like the faster pace that this shortened season has had. I'd love it if they had the balls to let World War 3 starting be the end of the season/series, but in typical 24 fashion he's going to save the day at the last second. However, I...

I don't disagree that reducing carbs is great if you are trying to lose weight, but to say that calories in vs. calories out is "bullshit" is just silly. There is more than one way to lose weight. There are plenty of people in this thread (myself included) who have lost weight and maintained...

Even if you snack on healthy stuff you need to be wary of portion sizes. I can easily eat my daily calorie limit in nuts and fruits between meals. I'm pretty sure this has been proven to be false. I'm sure Deathwing or The Master will swoop in with their science, bitch! and present studies.

I really dislike the HDTV menu boards that some places are using for their menus. It's not a problem if they're frozen in a single menu, but lots of them change and rotate through stuff, which is annoying when I'm trying to decide what I want. They also have the very real negative of dying and...

A jacket works, especially if it has an inside pocket. However, he's going in August so it's going to be hot as hell in a lot of places, so I don't think wearing a jacket would be comfortable. The whole point of a money belt is that it's discrete and under your clothes so not only is it...

DC characters have always struck me as having particularly stupid names, but a lot of that is probably just due to the age of the characters. Amazo, Weather Wizard, Mirror Master...they sound like Mega Man villains.
