Anyone doing Splunk? Seems like socom is going balls deep on it. I set it up and fumbled my way through setting up a few reports. It seems very similar to the elk stuff I've seen out there. It's not terribly interesting to me but a couple of guys I used to work with are making some big bucks as...

Nah I wasn't arguing whether it should or shouldn't. I just wanted to point out that it can be implemented both ways so that he doesn't assume his professor is wrong and bomb the assignment.

I have seen implementations of pop return the value before. It's just that it makes more logical sense to call top() then pop(). In your specific implementation though, the const keyword is what keeps the variable from falling out of scope.

True, the delineation between can and should are huge in C. It also varies by compiler.

I don't think you can just assign a value to a pointer like that. You would have to do: myArr[0] = &myInt edit: I also don't think initializing a pointer array with new int[10] would work either. Usually you would just say int* myArr[10] and then you could add pointers to other variables by...

I used the word delete because he did. I also re-read and see where the confusion is. It's able to return the reference value because of the const keyword which is a "feature" of c++. GotW #88: A Candidate For the “Most Important const” As to why you would do this, I think that there can be...

You're deleting a pointer from your stack, but not the data in memory. So you can still return a pointer to that data. It's kind of like tearing out an index page of a book. You no longer have the page that tells you where a specific chapter is, but you still have the chapter in the book and...

TS is not as extensive as it gets made out to be. As long as you don't have major debts now then previous credit history won't matter. Most people who get denied actually get denied for interim (which is common if you have basically any deviation) because they can't start working right away and...

Security+ more than likely, but you can get it within 6 months of starting the job. They'll pay for it. Well they will pay for your successful attempt anyway. As much as it sucks, there is no easy way out of it. Your son knows someone will come in, so until that stops he will continue until he outgrows it. If it's more hassle to let him scream for a few nights then it is to stay with him every night, then it is what it is. Kids won't give up any...

GS13 (I think I've seen you say you are) pay is pretty damn good. You'll probably have to go to Raleigh to get better. If you want to be a contractor at the coolest place on Ft. Bragg, we have openings, but I already know they'll offer less than what you make.

I think straight questing is the fastest. I got my shaman to 120 in just about two days and up to ilvl 340 in maybe 3-4 more days. Hit up a friend that crafts and they should be able to get you decked out in the 225 gear at 111 and then set you up with full 300-310 by 120. From then it's a few...

The best sounding amp to me is a mesa boogie dual rectifier. I played with the kemper at GC and they had a dual rectifier model (or profile or whatever their buzzword is) and it sounded pretty dead on to me.

Yeah unless you buy those really tiny tube amps (which actually sound pretty nice) it seems like volume is always an issue. I honestly can't tell the difference at low volume between a nice modeling amp and a time amp. Kemper will definitely be my next purchase. Those things sound so sick.

Sure, but they aren't changing the threat mechanics on those classes for seemingly no reason. Although I'm sure they could reduce healing from healers by %50 and Fyff would find some reason to co-sign it. He healed LFR once and never had to pay attention so it's necessary.

Gonna be honest, I don't really know what "dynamic touch," is.... I wouldn't gig on a solid state, but for home jamming they are way less hassle. My line 6 stuff sounds pretty awesome to me, but I also mostly play metal(ish) stuff so clean tone isn't a big priority for me. The line 6 DT25...

Let's not forget the hardest part of tanking: Still enjoying it after you do the same pull 500 times and wiping for some retarded reason. Now we get to add "threat" to those retarded reasons. Anyone who supports the change should be forced to tank (It's the easiest role after all).
