12 hours a day is still an absolutely frivolous amount to play, and the worst part of the whole thing was that it was completely intransparent. No one knew where they were until the clock struck 12. No one knew by how much they failed to progress.

I've played my share of PVP games with reward ranks, and the first Honor system of WoW was by a large margin the worst piece of shit anyone has ever put out. If the designer in charge of this lost 2 IQ points, he'd have to be watered daily.

I think it's a fine line between proper gameplay assist and outright botting. IMO decursive and PallyPower were far beyond the line and those characters might as well have been botted in raids.

Wasn't the problem with dungeon loot that it was far lower in level than the boss who dropped it and you had to be very close to the bosses level due to hard caps on damage? Like level 35 bosses in a dungeon dropping level 27 blues, which were not as good as level 35 greens.

Problem simply is that mana is not a resource, heals are just way too fast, therefore just tanking everything and taking assloads of damage is no problem. Now, if mana were a resource, and a good heal took 10 seconds to cast... but no, that's just absurd.

Sharding or not, it is definitely stupid to have the game spawn 200 Rich Thorium Veins per hour and expect that to be balanced for both a 500 and a 10.000 player server.
