also I thought this was worth reposting. It's in response for someone complaining about how much rep they lose for executing a lord and how nobody gives a shit that the lord just raided their own.
"
Unsurprisingly, the answer is that none of them give a tiny shit about villagers and neither do...
tbh it's hard to get motivated to run a kingdom with the current lack of diplomacy, finding and recruiting lords is super tedious, which I can't blame the game for because it's just not implemented.
I might just use a mod that makes it trivial to recruit lords and create some kind of ruleset...
Will be interesting to see how popular Rizlona is and how many dipshit boxers run 3+ boxes on Aradune.
TLP is such a missed opportunity. There are so many inventive things they could do to make people excited about a TLP season. Path of Exile puts their system to shame.
@Araysar take the bet, what are the odds that @Punko is weird enough to post order confirmations of a shoe purchase? Even @Vanessa would agree that's one levels of goofiness too far for Punko.
What I was promised:
What I got:
Me swingingly wildly with my ridiculous long glaive destroying everything that comes near
but seriously, amazing video. I hope they align the experience with it, especially with fallback positions in sieges and siege towers.
Mod list:
Mods; Adonnays Troop...
BTW I've thought about modding the Sturgia troop tree and changing
Sturgian Druzhinnik
Sturgian Druzhinnik Champion
to not have a horse and instead have shield + throwing axe + polearm (or maybe an axe) with upgraded stats. Would be interesting, especially if they ever added the option to tell...
I'd be impressed if the AI was smart enough to switch to shield until right before clashing and then switch to warrazer. Would make it clearly better than just forcing the fuckers to hold menavlions. When they had the option of sword vs menavlion they all chose sword, which is why I modded them...
@Caliane any tips on gettings lords to join you? Ive just been annoying random lords i meet, but is there a way to find out who is pissed at their liege?
I've heard the same horror stories of 45lbs weighing in at 38lbs and when I bought the cheapest weight set you can buy and was surprised when I weighed it, it had no error that was perceptible by my digital scale (0.1lbs precision, unknown offset, but it nailed all the weights).
Good luck with...
So I used console commands to age my children from babies to adults and now my savegame won't load :D
Good thing I made backups right before that, but I was hoping to raise a family and I don't have 18 years to sit around to do it.
Agree with basically everything you've said. Re: troop quality, it makes a huge difference, but ultimately the lack of good shield defense AI, archer AI and horse AI makes the above cheese very effective with companions or even mid-tier horse archers
Though the default behavior of spear/lance cavalry to get a running start and then take one swing at soldiers and run away would be the ideal way to handle bow cavalry like the above video. If they could intercept with hit and run attacks it'd be the ideal foil for this.
That wouldn't work because horse AI is too terrible right now :D
Besides, if their horses were able to intercept me it'd just save some time because my long glaives are overpowered. One strategy I use against horse archers is to exploit the zone boundaries, box them in and then annihilate them...
The AI does not properly handle horses it can't catch. Soldiers don't have true shield wall formations that would make the above strat a waste of arrows, archers can't properly aim for horses, the AI doesn't seek shelter and other cavalry that can't keep up don't try and box me in or cut me off...
I am shocked and aghast that Monchug did not award me Husn Fulq after I single-handidly captured it. I have no choice but to rebel and form my own kingdom after helping the Khuzait clear half the map.
It ended up being a mod I made to the spitems.xml in SandBoxCore. I also had to ditch my mods, destroy mconfiguration, load a really old save, then load my new one, and then save a new one and I'm good I think... Uploading a new video now :D
huge patch

For Singleplayer, most important bit is
Lord parties have more experienced troops and fewer recruits. They also use their party size limit as much as possible.
Parties do not recruit prisoners...
I don't really disagree with you though. A team that has a successful multiplayer game under the belt and compelling and fresh ideas about an MMO is certainly qualified to garner interest in their MMO. But it's just such a massive task with so many components compared to other games that it...
just gonan come out and say it. This thing looks like somebody was told what a silo looks like, and they made it with scrap metal they had laying around :D
I'm not. Nexus has their bullshit vortex or whatever manager but I've never used it. I just manually control what's in my modules folder and select stuff in the bannerlord launcher.
Yeah I saw that.
I'm kind of thinking of using something like that but only giving my children the ability to control parties, or otherwise limiting myself to the number of companion parties I have to the # of companions I should actually have (5 or 6?)
I also bet that another consequence that might be implemented later is that you kill the head of a family because he's annoying and you just don't know how his heir is going to be. Would be really interesting if you could have some control over that by making an informal alliance with a third in...
I'm hoping we get the next patch in the next couple days that changes a lot of campaign stuff. Could be delayed though, unintended consequences of tweaking that stuff have to be common. Frankly I think they should let raw changes go out and let the spear hit where it may.
One thing I liked about Warband is that as you took over the world you could bring peace to the inner areas of your kingdom by letting your lords patrol them without having a marshal ruck them up every week. This let villages stay healthy and brigand free, increasing the prosperity of the region...
