That was hilarious from a grappling perspective, and exactly what I meant when I said the techniques you train don't always work on people with non-standard bodies. His opponent tried to close his guard a couple times and attempted a half guard position that would have controlled Zion, except...

    Torchlight: Infinite

What even is the Torchlight IP at this point? They use some of the same names and design aesthetics, but they've totally retconned the entire setting from the first two games. Torchlight was the name of a town, not a superhero co-op. The game itself played great, but given that it's basically a...

Yeah. What we see is the market speaking. Maybe the market is a moron, but there it is. People do all kinds of voluntary stupid shit, but that doesn't mean it should be illegal.

I don't see anyone siding with the companies here. I hate that shit as much as you do, but regulation is not the right response. The right response is to stop giving these fuckers money.

So, when the parents fuck up. (Also, these days you need pwd/biometric confirmation for in-app purchases.) I'm not saying it's admirable for companies to do this kind of targeting, but it's entirely avoidable if you pay a small amount of attention. It's their job to be educated when it comes...

Or solo 401k, yeah. They're equivalent at the extreme, but for lower income levels the 401k lets you front-load faster. I have both.

One nice thing about being self-employed is I can put away 100% up to the 401k max and then match myself 25% off the top after that up to $66k. Obviously I need the raw income to do that, but if it's a good year I get to stuff a lot away tax-free.

Nothing of value would be lost. I'm not recommending legislating it away, but I sure do wish people exercised more discipline and just didn't buy that shit. That is absolutely about kid control. I could give my kids all my devices, passwords, and biometrics and they would never in a million...

It could just means the job is replaceable by AI, which a lot of low-tier white collar jobs probably will be in the next 10-20 years. When it matures, this kind of tech is going to eliminate most legal research work, for example. Instant context-appropriate summaries of case law, etc. It's...

I really don't think this is how it works. You need some second opinions. You can't legally get off the hook for your obligations, especially those imposed by the state, by hiding from the court.

In a lot of ways this kind of match is unfair to the non-handicapped guy. You see it in wrestling occasionally. If the legless dude can get a hold on his opponent, he's got the clinch strength of a competitor 2-4 weight classes higher since his mass is all arms and chest. A lot of the opponent's...

Valheim - Viking Survival Game (Early Access)

My son and I ended up making a base in the mistlands. Without spoiling anything, it's significantly easier to set up there due to certain features of the biome and types of materials which are locally available compared to needing to be imported.

They added crossbows, which I think are a bit OP. There's a slowish crank time during which you can't run/jump and stamina doesn't regen, but once cranked you can wait to fire at will and the bolts have no arc over distance. Huge damage, too. Overall it seems easier to dodge, hit, and harder to...

I think we are actually agreeing. What I am taking about is your complaint in the first part of the quote. Bottom line, the devs have to pick a number, say for item acquisition rates. I do the Citi card from Costco. Put everything I can on it and never carry a balance. Reward rate varies based on what you spend on. For our patterns we get 1.5-2% back net, which is ~$1000 a year cash after paying for our Costco membership. 20% APR? Jesus fuck.

I don't mean comparable as in identical, just that the game content should be realistically achievable regardless of how you play it. In most of the popular ARPGs so far the SSF players face a fairly stiff penalty by comparison because the progress rate/endgame is balanced around a trading economy.
