To shoot off several twelve packs of shitty mountain dew at peak efficiency I need an ar-15 with a C-Mag (not the shitty Korean knock off, American made only kthxbye) and a bump fire stock.

Had a similar issue. My uncle decided to live with his girlfriend and her psychotic daughter. He ended up dying from cancer, but several times the daughter pulled a knife on him. He kept trying to get her arrested/committed but nothing would come from it. Fast forward to last year, my uncle...

I think there is merit to what Gavin and Araysar are saying though. In the case of the theater shooting, why did he pick the one that was a gun free zone? It wasn't the closest, it wasn't the biggest...I believe, with some exception (crazy gonna crazy) that the idea that someone might resist is...

There are a few gems, but there are also a lot of crappy DPD officers. One point in their favor is that the PD seems to prefer sig 226'sBut that might just be Dallas being fickle with their spending.

Nothing wrong with beefing the CCW up a bit. I joked during my initial test that I felt like the test was designed so you COULDNT fail it. The guy who teaches at the range I go to now is kind've a nazi about it.He'll get in peoples faces if they're awful.

I believe Dallas PD just uses local ranges. I know the one I used to go to (Elm Fork) has a "tactical bay" that is kind've fenced off that cops use when they need it. When they aren't there its open to the general public.

That's nice in theory, but most parents don't give a shit. I did my time in the hell hole that was gamestop and I saw plenty of parents that would send their kid in with the credit card and throw a hissy when we made them come in the store. If they did come in the store, we got one of the...

I like the idea of certification before fire arm purchase, if for no other reason than you will learn basic firearm safety; going to most ranges today I cringe at some of the things I see people do. But a huge difference between the sick bastards that do this kind of stuff, and the gun nuts...

I know a few teachers from high school that carried guns in their cars. Some of them were former military, all of them were former alums that came back to teach. I never felt threatened by them. On the other hand, our dean of students was a goddamn cunt and on more than one occasion I'm...

I get this vibe as well. He touched on it a bit here and there during the election run up, but I think in his mind, he has bigger fish to fry, and honestly with how volatile things are right now, neither side has a lot of political clout to use, so they are going to apply it as carefully as...

The gist of it was basically that something needs to be done, and that the complexity of the situation should not bar us from action, and that he would be using his power over the next few weeks to determine what course of action to take. Also said we can't accept these events. Nothing wrong...

The thing about gun free zones is...they aren't. At least not on the college level. I know plenty of people that carry pistols at the school I went to, some with CHL's some without. The sign in the parking lot has never stopped them.

I completely agree, though that is not the only thing that needs some looking at. Personal responsibility is a beautiful thing. If you want to own something that powerful (I own lots of them!) then you need to be responsible for them.

The only capacity limit in the US is (if I remember correctly) with shotguns and thats only when hunting certain types of birds. Game warden catches you without that plug in your tube, you have to pay some fine or something. Not a bird hunter, didn't care to memorize that. High capacity...

Had this argument earlier today. Someone was telling me how awful drum magazines are. Hell, if anything, that shitty drum mag saved lives in the CO shooting because it, to the shock of no one who has ever used one, it jammed! Rather then doing an impotent ban, or even something like the AWB, how about spending the time, money, energy, and political clout into something that puts more warning signs out there? Give society as many opportunities to stop these sick people before they can cause harm. I'd gladly give up...

Gunman opens fire at Oregon mall outside of Portland

Armed teachers are not a good idea. What makes the immune to mental issues? I'm casting my vote with fixing this on a social level. It needs to be ingrained on the most basic of levels that this shit is wrong.

So I'm going to buy a video card today I think. It seems like the nvidia 670 is a better deal than the 680. Tom's Hardware was saying its only a few more frames per second for $100+. Any reason not to go with a 670?
