The biggest difference between the two that I can see is that EQ added new kinds of stats with every expansion, whereas WoW is actually removing stats from items (expertise, etc.). One of the best (and worst) jobs I ever had was as a teenager selling Boardwalk Fries at a concert venue. For 90% of the show I'd just stand at my little cart munching on fries and listening to whatever music was playing. Boardwalk Fries are awesome.
